[Bug 56788] Re: kontact/kmail doesn't start and uses amost all cpu

2006-08-28 Thread Mekanix
This just happened to me too.

I've tried deleting ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc but it didn't do any
good.

Then I copied and deleted ~/Mail instead and imported all the mails from
the copy using KMails import-tool. This didn't go intirely smooth, since
my old Mail-directory was a mix of mbox and maildir folders. So some
folders got treated like one large message.

A "me too" regarding both Edgy and Hardy.

And Why isn't the Panel-setup included ind Kubuntu's "System Settings"?

I can confirm this on a Gigabyte motherboard with Intel 945G-chipset.

2006-12-07 Thread Mekanix
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 65662 ***

I'm not sure this is a dupe of bug #65662.

This bug is about the latest HAL-update breaks usb-mounting in KDE 3.5.5

Bug #65662 is about upgrading to KDE 3.5.5 breaks usb-mounting with the
back then "current" version af HAL.

I've been using KDE 3.5.5 since the release, and hadn't had any usb-
mounting-issue until the lastest release of HAL.

[Bug 437990] Re: intel 4965 fails with 5ghz (karmic regression)

2010-03-05 Thread Mekanix
A "Me too!"

Just switched my home network to a dualband 2.4GHz(g) and 5GHz(n). I've
got at ThinkPad R500 with at 5100AGN wifi-card. Show the above behavior
- doesn't work with n (*) but works with g.

(*) unless i run iwconfig wlan0 rate 54M

Would be nice to get the full n-experience! :-)

(running kubuntu 9.10 with backports kernel)

[Bug 974674] Re: Unable to connect to 5Ghz Wireless Network Intel 4965

2012-06-19 Thread Mekanix
Is there a fix for this for ordinary 12.04 users?

I can see that Darren Watt solved it by installing a custom kernel
(3.4?)... is there any less drastic (I'd like to get automatic security
updates etc.) method?
