[Bug 30282] Re: Minolta PagePro 1300W doesn't work
Hi all, the "DeviceURI file:///dev/usblp0" solution doesn't work for me! I've successfully done the installation under Breezy, through some changes in the .PPD file, but they doesn't work on Dapper. -- Minolta PagePro 1300W doesn't work https://launchpad.net/bugs/30282 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 187138] Re: Feature request: Compatibility with Megapov
This isn't too hard. Frustrating that it doesn't work out of the box tho :) A quick look into the install file yields the answer: script is pointing to the wrong paths... I have supplied a patch which works for me on ubuntu 9.04 with povray package installed(3.6.1) trying to install megapov-1.2.1 It simply modifies the expected install paths, and changes the shell to bash(because in my installation, /bin/sh is dash, and it doesn't handle read -n) Instructions: simply download the megapov "linux installer", patch it, and run the install. ie. tar xf megapov-1.2.1-linux.tar.bz2 cd megapov-1.2.1 patch < ../ubuntu9.04_megapov_install_patch_fixed.diff sudo ./install ** Patch added: "patch for the megapov installer." http://launchpadlibrarian.net/40984971/ubuntu9.04_megapov_install_patch_fixed.diff -- Feature request: Compatibility with Megapov https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187138 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1017031] Re: dpkg: error: duplicate file trigger interest for filename `/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules' and package `libgtk2.0-0:amd64'
I might see another incarnation of the same bug. Upgraded to quantal yesterday. Today, I am stuck at dpkg: error: duplicate file trigger interest for filename `/usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders' and package `libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0:amd64' E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) A package failed to install. Trying to recover: dpkg: error: duplicate file trigger interest for filename `/usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders' and package `libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0:amd64' Upgrade went fine. Now I was just trying to reinstall science- mathematics and ubuntustudio-audio which I deinstalled because packages in them caused conflicts during upgrade. Will try to fix my installation as outlined in previous posts. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1017031 Title: dpkg: error: duplicate file trigger interest for filename `/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules' and package `libgtk2.0-0:amd64' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+bug/1017031/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1018326] [NEW] enigmail grabs mouse and does not release it
Public bug reported: versions: enigmail 2:1.4.2-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 thunderbird 13.0.1+buikld1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 xfdesktop4 4.8.3-2ubuntu7 linux-image-3.2.0-25-generic 3.2.0.25.40 architecture: amd64 release: 12.04 Using the XFCE Desktop. Steps to reproduce: Start thunderbird, Inbox listing opens. In the listing of all Emails, perform a long mouse click (without release) on the subject of an encrypted email. A dialogue box with title "Open PGP Prompt" is displayed. Release the mouse button. Type in the passphrase for your gnupg key (does not matter if you get it correct or wrong). Press enter. The dialogue box disappears. Move the mouse without pressing a button. Observed behaviour: Mouse cursor changes to Hand with attached sheet of document. The mouse can be moved but clicking on any mouse button or turning the scroll wheel has no effect. Alt-Tab (to switch to a different window) has no effect. This behaviour continues until Thunderbird is closed using Alt-F4 or Ctrl-Q. Expected behaviour: Mouse can be used normally and Alt-Tab key combination switches to a different window after the dialogue box disappears. Possible workarounds: 1 - Release the mouse button before the dialogue box disappears. Unfortunately, the computer may be faster than your finger. 2 - After the dialogue box disappears, do not move the mouse, but perform another mouse click (press and release) without moving the mouse 3 - Do not click on the encrypted mail in the listing, but on an unencrypted one, and navigate to the encrypted message using the cursor up/down keys. ** Affects: enigmail (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1018326 Title: enigmail grabs mouse and does not release it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/enigmail/+bug/1018326/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1018326] Re: enigmail grabs mouse and does not release it
After update to the following versions, the problem goes away automatically after a while, i.e. the mouse pointer with the hand and a document next to it changes back to a normal mouse pointer after a short time and mouse clicks and Alt-Tab work again. Good enough for me. enigmail 2:1.4.3-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 thunderbird 14.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 xfdesktop4 - same version as before - linux-image-3.2.0-26-generic 3.2.0-26.41 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1018326 Title: enigmail grabs mouse and does not release it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/enigmail/+bug/1018326/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1782408] [NEW] not powering off at shutdown, reboot or suspend
Public bug reported: I've got msi gp62m 7rex leopard pro laptop. Previously i was running ubuntu 16.04 on it, then i decided to upgrade to 18.04. I installed ubuntu 18.04 on ssd+hdd (/ on ssd, /home on hdd, ssd luks+lvm, hdd luks). Then i installed nvidia-384 drivers and cinnamon. Everything worked fine, but one day it just stopped powering off when shutting down, rebooting bug or suspending. I fully reinstalled ubuntu (note: image was downloaded after the bug started to occur), but the bug still persists - not powering off. I tried another kernel - 4.13, i tried running ubuntu in software rendering mode, using integrated graphics instead of nvidia, stopping display manager before shutting down, updating and resetting everything, including bios, but no luck. I tried adding acpi=force in /etc/default/grub, removing 'quiet splash' - nothing changed.
