2009-06-02 Thread Linus Hoppe
I'll attach a Valgrind log, but you should know that I can't reproduce
the Crash. Apport only shows an Error on Startup that time.

Because of the fact that nothing happens after starting valgrind and the
crash isn't reproducable, I killed valgrind. You find the log attached.

[Bug 364782] [NEW] gparted crashes on startup after trying to create fat32

2009-04-21 Thread Linus Hoppe
Public bug reported:

After trying to create a fat32 partition on an USB-Stick, gparted crashes.
Fortunately, I started it out of a terminal. For the output see
"first_crash.txt".

If I want to start gparted again, it crashes on startup (for log see
"crash_now.txt"). So I can reproduce this crash.

My System:
Ubuntu 8.10
Kernel 2.6.27-11-generic
GNOME 2.24.1

Packages (from the original archieves):
   gparted 0.3.8-1ubuntu3

If I should add further information, please say this (sorry for my
english, I'm a german student)!

[Bug 364782] Re: gparted crashes on startup after trying to create fat32

2009-04-21 Thread Linus Hoppe
after removing the stick from my usb-hub, everything works fine.

It must have to do with the warning (I'll post it in german):

Das Gerät /dev/sdb hat eine logische Sektorgröße von 2048. Nicht alle
Teile von GNU Parted unterstützen dies im Moment und der funktionierende
Code ist HOCH EXPERIMENTELL.

[Bug 378404] [NEW] After first boot, Ubuntu should show some useful internet links

2009-05-19 Thread Linus Hoppe
Public bug reported:

New idea to help new Ubuntu-/Linux-Users.

After the first boot of Ubuntu there should appear a site with useful
internet links (e. g. Communities, Forums etc.), depending on the
language in which Ubuntu is installed. With this list, a new User knows
where he can find help and support by the community.

This feature is implemented in the Firefox-Addon "ubuntuusers menü"
(https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/8388). This addon shows
many useful links... Maybe you can edit and improve this list of
possible websites...
