[Bug 333139] Re: gnumeric ignores keyboard input

2009-03-10 Thread Hubert Figuiere
I have observed the same problem in openSUSE 11.1 when I upgraded to
1.9.3 from the "factory" repository. Translation, this is not specific
to Ubuntu.

Anyone to file the bug upstream?

Just to make sure.

Because if the camera is mass storage, it is not libgphoto2 problem.

[Bug 282823] Re: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 not working with gphoto backend

2008-10-16 Thread Hubert Figuiere
See Marcus comment. There is an "old bug" that cause the Mass Storage
panasonic to have their permission changed making them unmountable.
libgphoto2 has been fixed, but I don't know for the version in hardy.
The Panasonic USB ID 0x2372 MUST be removed from libgphoto2, and the
helper scripts updated as usual (the package does it, so if the package
is fixed it should be good).

To the maintainer: do it and provide an updated package so that the user
no longer run into the problem, unless it has already been adressed.

[Bug 59444] gcc 4.1 use much more memory

2006-09-07 Thread Hubert Figuiere
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: g++

gcc 4.1 use much more (too much) memory compared to gcc 4.0 (the one in
Dapper) when compiling C++ code.

Example:
hugin-0.6.1 (new package in edgy), Stitcher1.cpp builds fine on my 512MB
machine, but make it trash when using Edgy's gcc. Top show that in Dapper the
cc1 process need 230MB while on Edgy it requires 430MB+.

I think this is an important regression.

[Bug 63967] machine does not wake up after suspend

2006-10-04 Thread Hubert Figuiere
Public bug reported:

I just upgraded to Edgy.

I have kernel linux-image-2.6.17-10-386

The machine is a ThinkPad Z60t.

I did suspend the machine Fn-F4. It didn't wake up. The "sleep" light
stayed, nothing reacted.

I was running linux-image-2.6.15-19-386 without glitch.

Behaviour is different from https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source
/linux-source-2.6.15/+bug/49078 that I reported a few month back

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'linux-
image-2.6'; however, that package was not published in Baltix.

[Bug 64082] brightness keys misfunction

2006-10-04 Thread Hubert Figuiere
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hotkey-setup

brightness keys misfunction.

In Dapper, I could have several level of brightness (Fn-Home and Fn-End)
by pressing one or the other. Now I only have Low and High. When I press
"brighter" it goes up to the top. If I press "darker" it goes down to
the bottom.

The default if "single-click" to open files. It is a bad default that
has lot of issues in term of usability. The default should be double-
