[Bug 397434] [NEW] evolution mislabels after delete

2009-07-09 Thread Circa Lucid
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 9.04
Release:9.04

apt-cache policy evolution
evolution:
  Installed: 2.26.1-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 2.26.1-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 2.26.1-0ubuntu2 0

100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
 2.26.1-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages

Okay, so I highlight multiple non-sequential emails by holding CTRL
while clicking emails to delete, several of which are unread. I press
the delete button expecting the emails to be deleted and they are
deleted but some of the emails that I didn't select are now labeled as
some of the emails I did delete.

Work-around: Click out of that folder (ie click on Trash) and then click
back to refresh the email list and all the emails are now correctly
named again.

[Bug 514976] [NEW] Computer crashes and rhythmdb.xml is now empty.

2010-01-30 Thread Circa Lucid
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

My system crashed and, after I rebooted, I started Rhythmbox and was met
with an empty library. Then the "Watch my library" function kicked in
and started populating but I still lost all my ratings.

I have a feeling it might be a problem with how libxml2 handles open xml
files.

My workaround is a cron job that backs up my rhythmdb.xml nightly.

[Bug 514976] Re: Computer crashes and rhythmdb.xml is now empty.

2010-02-01 Thread Circa Lucid
I was just looking at how it normally operates and realized it
automatically backed up the /home/b/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml
to rhythmdb.xml.1. I still lost all the contents of my playlists but at
least I recovered my ratings. When I have some free time, I'll DL the
git and write up a patch to copy-on-write and restore at startup if
corrupted.

Same problem. I have an HP M1195C with a:
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 058f:9360 Alcor Micro Corp. 8-in-1 Media Card Reader

I did like Leolik suggested:
sudo nano /etc/modules
+++ usb_storage

First I tried `modprobe usb_storage` with no luck. Rebooted and it works
perfect now.

Not really. I have a workaround with a backup script and I'm really
short on free time but I'll wrap my head around this when I have some

[Bug 582899] [NEW] rdekstop closes on copy command

2010-05-19 Thread Circa Lucid
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rdesktop

Description:Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Release:10.04
rdesktop:
  Installed: 1.6.0-2ubuntu3
  Candidate: 1.6.0-2ubuntu3
  Version table:
 *** 1.6.0-2ubuntu3 0

rdesktop disconnects and closes when I hit Ctrl+C or Ctrl-X or right-click ->
copy or right-click -> cut in any program. This only happens when I connect
from my U10.04 desktop to either my U9.10 server or my U10.04 server (both have
the ubuntu-desktop and xrdp installed). If I connect from my U9.10 desktop or
connect to a windows machine, it works perfectly. If I connect from U9.10
desktop to U9.10 server to U10.04 server, I lose the U10.04 server on copy/cut
and I get:
(tsclient:21623): GLib-GObject-WARNING **:
/build/buildd/glib2.0-2.22.3/gobject/gsignal.c:2387: instance `0x1d8b1c0' has
no handler with id `1161'

I have also tried starting rdesktop from the CLI without the -rclipboard
and with -rclipboard:off and get the same results.

The only consistency I'm seeing is that 1.6.0-2ubuntu2 works and
1.6.0-2ubuntu3 has broken copy functionality.

[Bug 480130] Re: OOSpreadsheet only partially opens HTML based spreadsheet.

2010-05-21 Thread Circa Lucid
I just upgraded to 10.04 which has OOO320m12 (Build:9483) and tested. I
have an excel sheet with 17000 rows and 22 columns and it's blank after
row 3508. I can coax it to show more by slowly scrolling down and
waiting while the program locks up for a good 10 seconds generating the
view. Also, the scroll bar is at the bottom as if it were the last row
but yet I can still scroll down though it's all blank.

[Bug 1410989] [NEW] SSL_connect:unknown state

2015-01-14 Thread Circa Lucid
Public bug reported:

Running "openssl s_client", I'm getting some websites (www.tm3.com,
ws.myfax.com) that cause requests to hang. I compiled openssl-1.0.1k and
it seems to be working now. Is there a more correct fix other than
compiling the newest openssl?

** Affects: openssl (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1410989] Re: SSL_connect:unknown state

2015-01-21 Thread Circa Lucid
Is there a way to get openssl to negotiate the correct cipher suite?
Maybe a retry option? I have squid3 inspecting ssl traffic and it's
hanging on these sites. Or would retrying be something that should be
implemented in squid3?

[Bug 1304953] Re: ntlm_auth reports Broken Helper: BH NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL

2014-12-09 Thread Circa Lucid
I can also confirm, Ubuntu 14.04 Server and squid3 3.3.8 and auto-authenticate
users with ntlm now. First command was "usermod -a -G winbindd_priv proxy".
Thank you Alex.

[Bug 1091464] Re: Unable to chainload Windows 8 with Secure Boot enabled

2013-11-16 Thread Circa Lucid
Installed 13.10 onto a second SSD on a Lenovo Yoga 13. Booting into
Win8.1 from grub works when Secure Boot is disabled. Otherwise it
reports "cannot load image".

[Bug 480130] Re: [upstream] Calc truncates data from HTML based .xls

2011-09-15 Thread Circa Lucid
It's already been marked as "also effects". I just retested with and it
still stops all data at about row 6700.

1) lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 11.04
Release:11.04

2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-calc
libreoffice-calc:
  Installed: 1:3.3.3-1ubuntu2
  Candidate: 1:3.3.3-1ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 1:3.3.3-1ubuntu2 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main i386
Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages

I have some free time this weekend and just realized LibreOffice has
some easy documentation on getting started hacking at this issue. Let's
see if I can fix it myself.

[Bug 582899] Re: rdekstop closes on copy command

2010-07-30 Thread Circa Lucid
It just dawned on me to run rdesktop from sh. When I do that, rdesktop dies
with this output:
X Error of failed request: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 23 (X_GetSelectionOwner)
Atom id in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 13002
Current serial number in output stream: 13002

Found a solution. Use RDP5 instead of RDP.
In config, use 'protocol:i:4'
