Jonathan I had a quick look at usb-creator source package and it doesn't even seem to have i18n capabilities. I consider this as a severe bug or at least a really bad development practice. Public bug reported: I know that feature is still in development and that it was very buggy in KDE 4.0 (bug #197865). But I have no problems with it in KDE 4.1.1 and it's a great feature to have different "activities" (desktops) displaying different sets of widgets (containments). I downloaded software-sources-075.1 (from karmic repo) source package
and tried to examine the code. I really dont know much about Python, but
I found some errors in SoftawarePropertiesKDE.py, for example to have
the "Add source" dialog translated i had to modify those lines (653) :
text = _('Enter the complete APT line of the repository that
you want to add as sourceThe APT line includes the type, location
and components of a repository, for example "%s".') % example
text=utf8(text)
There's also a problem in this file with translate-widget functions but I
really don't understand how this could work.

I forgot to mention that when I remove the conditional loading of fbcon module and rebuild my initramfs with 'sudo update-initramfs -u', my framebuffer console works again and the device /dev/fb0 is actually created (with vga=791 in GRUB options). But it's probably a dirty hack... I don't think this is a Firefox issue. I'm using Kubuntu Gutsy and Firefox (localized in French) and I didn't have this problem. Usually this kind of bug in Firefox is due to incompatible add-ons. Jannick: are you sure ? The right template to translate is libept.po not libadept.po wich seems to be unused, and of course adept** templates.
