[Bug 558979] [NEW] Text display problems, random colorless/replacement charecters
Public bug reported: so this major bug happened to me once before but i didn't do something about it, i restarted my pc. This is the second time, occurs arbitrarily! Some text become colorless, cant be read! please look at these images http://imgur.com/a/Z8L68/ubuntu_lucid_major_bug and this video of the clock which i recorded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZIPfSVx8oA However this can be fixed(if that's the right word) temporarily by restarting gdm or the PC I'm not sure what this is caused by, but i attached the info of xorg, some told me it might be from it I seriously believe this must be solved before the final release, i've asked over irc for help, all of them were just clueless! [Bug 519583] Re: can't add, move, unlock applets & no clock
My every thing in my panel is locked, i cant add applet, cant move any!! my installation is ubuntu netbook remix beta 1, i386 on compaq mini 110c i tried gconf-edit but it didn't allow me to change the checkbox for locked, so i opened it as superuser but got diffferent configuration. It turned out that superuser has another gnome panel that's all i know, and btw I realized this from the live cd and then on my netbook -- can't add, move, unlock applets & no clock https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519583 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 663802] [NEW] Gwibber provides false client info to twitter.com
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gwibber Twitter mentions the name of the client that was used for each tweet. When tweeting using Gwibber the client name reads 'Ubuntu' instead of 'Gwibber'! Also 'ubuntu' is linking to http://Ubuntu.com! If this was put intentionally, I think it's wrong! Ubuntu is the OS, not the client! [Bug 655108] [NEW] Repository provides an outdated version of tint2
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tint2 On ubuntu 10.04, the version of tint2 provided in the repository is outdated: 0.7.1-1 which has some unsolved bugs! such as http://code.google.com/p/tint2/issues/detail?id=294 The fact that 10.10 is on the way, i checked its repository and the tint2 package provided their is 0.9-2 which is also not the latest! [Bug 655156] [NEW] The "next" button in sun-java6 installation dialog is not disabled!
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic I'm reporting this because my dad had to call me to come to his office at the university to do this for him! When installing sun-java6-plugin via synaptic, a dialog will pop and ask for the user's approval for the "terms of use"! There's that button "Next" which is NOT disabled when the check-box/radio-button is not selected! If the user continues without realizing that there was a necessary thing to be checked, the installation would go on without any notification until an error occurs! Doesn't get installed, should happed! But it doesn't tell where was the problem! I think telling that the user should choose "I agree" or "You have not agreed to the $blablabla" or any other hint would be much better, much more suitable for all kinds of people! I think it's worth it if it's gonna save at least one other person for going to a certain destination just to check a box!
