Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic
I'm reporting this because my dad had to call me to come to his office at the university to do this for him! When installing sun-java6-plugin via synaptic, a dialog will pop and ask for the user's approval for the "terms of use"! There's that button "Next" which is NOT disabled when the check-box/radio-button is not selected! If the user continues without realizing that there was a necessary thing to be checked, the installation would go on without any notification until an error occurs! Doesn't get installed, should happed! But it doesn't tell where was the problem! I think telling that the user should choose "I agree" or "You have not agreed to the $blablabla" or any other hint would be much better, much more suitable for all kinds of people! I think it's worth it if it's gonna save at least one other person for going to a certain destination just to check a box!
