[Bug 207380] Re: [hardy-KDE4]Cannot access ntfs partition

2008-07-21 Thread Andrei Zhekov
Sorry for posting here (I'm using OpenSuSE 11 KDE4 4.1RC1) - I'm getting
the same error whem mounting external NTFS hard drive. I did all that
Eugene wrote before my post AND also ran ntfs-config utility. At this
point I've just unchecked write support (!?) and here it is - the
external HDD mounts perfectly. It's a mystery!

[Bug 286673] Re: flash plugin 10 is extremely slow !

2009-08-02 Thread Andrei Zhekov
I can confirm this on Ubuntu 9.04 all updated (01.08.2009).
about:plugins:Shockwave Flash 10.0 r32

Backside effects: very offten NO VIDEO on YouTube (only audio), very high CPU
usage (Firefox takes over 80%).
Sometimes the video goes but very quick without audio, like browsing a picture
galery very fast.
Trying swfdec and others - I have video but CPU usage is as high as with the
Adobe's plugin

All problems with flash support had started after updating through the
update-manager the Adobe's plugin (nonfree flash plugin)

[Bug 408603] [NEW] Evolution not restoring data from backup archive

2009-08-03 Thread Andrei Zhekov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu 9.10 a3
Evolution 2.27.5-0ubuntu1

I tried to restore my email from Evolution 2.26 archive (from Ubuntu 9.04) -
the process began and after few seconds it looks like it's over and OK but
after a second the archive import wizard pops up again and I repeated the
procedure - no luck.
Than I've created a null account and tried to restore my email through the File
> Restore... - the same thing

[Bug 408784] [NEW] [karmic] No sound output with pulseaudio

2009-08-04 Thread Andrei Zhekov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Ubuntu 9.10 a3 updated on 04.08.2009
pulseaudio 0.9.15-4ubuntu3
alsa-base-1.0.20+dfsg-1ubuntu4

According to sound preferences I have output source as it says "Internal sound
card". I have HDA Intel ICH8 internal audio on HP Pavilion dv2530. When my
laptop starts I hear a "click" from the speakers like the device is in
power-saving mode (it is because it has such row in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf). Also I hear it every time I click on an icon
in the gnome-panel for example.
The strange thing is that Rhythmbox and other apps are runnig well like there
IS all OK with the sound - but I can't hear it at all. I've installed all
pulseaudio related GUI tools to view the output levels - there're acceptable
high.

[Bug 408784] Re: [karmic] No sound output with pulseaudio

2009-08-06 Thread Andrei Zhekov
Well with the last update (pulseaudio 1:0.9.16~test4-0ubuntu1) I get
almost the same results. Only VLC having sound (ALSA is the default). I
saw that I also have No recording. When playing music with Rhythmbox
can't hear anything as before but what is worse - the pulseaudio volume
mixer is decreasing (!) the volume by itself.
