[Bug 1932980] Re: window title in mate terminal not change after I logout from ssh
My test results with MATE Terminal and two different SSH servers are below: * When I connect to 1st SSH server (openssh 7.6p1-4ubuntu0.3, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS amd64) from any Ubuntu MATE version (from 12.04 LTS to 21.04) I see even worse situation - window title does not change on SSH-login and after SSH-logout. * When I connect to 2nd SSH server (openssh 6.7p1-5+deb8u8, Debian 8 armhf) from any Ubuntu MATE version (from 12.04 LTS to 21.04) I see that window title is changes correctly. So I suppose that there is some incompatibility between SSH client and SSH server which incorrectly report window title (actually prompt or $PS1) change. Please provide some info about your SSH server (its name, version, OS). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1932980 Title: window title in mate terminal not change after I logout from ssh To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mate/+bug/1932980/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1878279] Re: MSFT0004:00 06CB:CD98 Touchpad/trackpad mouse randomly not recognized from any given boot
Regarding my previous post what happened is that the touchpad started to work again out of the blue. Before this the system had difficulties to shutdown. The shutdwown process lasted for minutes and during that the system displayed a message "i2c_designware AMDI0010:00: controller times out". This lasted for a long time. So long that I had time to take a photo of it which is attached. Eventually the system managed to shutdown and now I that I turned on the system the touchpad works again. Hello, I don't have time right now to dig into all the stuff to properly propose a patch, but I assume changing those lines in the file icalparser.c (line 1029-1033 in the current version) would work ```case ICAL_TRIGGER_PROPERTY: /* Accept DATE-TIME and DURATION */ if (value_kind != ICAL_DATETIME_VALUE && value_kind != ICAL_DURATION_VALUE) value_err = illegal_type; break; ``` direct link to the file https://searchfox.org/comm- central/source/calendar/libical/src/libical/icalparser.c#1029 If an active developer can add this patch, it would be very great (this bug is pretty much annoying); if not possible I will see how to participate directly in patching the file, but I'm not used to big projects participations... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1846423 Title: Lightning: Cannot dismiss reminders. Well as it's chaining inequality comparisons (to catch wrong types), it will work; if you follow the link to the full source code of this file, this is how the other elements are tested. [Bug 1812456] Re: [MIR] libflatpak0
tl;dr; Flatpak currently considers remotes as trusted, so after you have added one with a password at system level, you don't need a password to install apps for that remote. I don't about how polkit rules work, but this is just a comment describing what happens from a user perspective with flatpak. If you want to tighten it, I suggest discussing with upstream to ensure docs or any other assumptions etc are correct (please also ensure any changes make it into Debian, generally we have been able to avoid diffs with Debian so far - we do have a diff right now as Debian is in freeze). - Flatpak has two locations that you can add remotes and install apps to, user level and system level. System level ones are available to all users, user level ones are available to just that user - Adding a flatpak remote or installing an app at *user* level does not require any password So far I think this all makes sense, the interesting part up for debate is the next part. - When a remote is added to flatpak at *system* level, it asks for a password to verify the remote - When an app is installed at *system* level for this trusted remote, it installs without needing a password (as stated in previous comments, assuming the user is in the wheel group) To try this out you can do the following commands, the remote-add and remote-delete will need a password, the install and uninstall won't. $ flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists kdeapps --from https://distribute.kde.org/kdeapps.flatpakrepo $ flatpak install kdeapps org.kde.kate $ flatpak uninstall org.kde.kate $ flatpak remote-delete kdeapps -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1812456 Title: [MIR] libflatpak0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flatpak/+bug/1812456/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1927868] Re: vRouter not working after update to 16.3.1
Yes, Billy Olsen, we are a little in doubt about this (https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/1927868/comments/18) as well. We have been observing such non functioning gateways on our Train installation occasionally also before this patch / update. Usually a "clear gateway" and a recreation via the Horizon GUI by the user fixed this - one more reason to pursue the idea of a race condition as it then works on another attempt. Also killing the master keepalived did work as it then switched over to another node usually just worked. With the recent change though, we appear to have had a larger number broken gateways after migrations and node reboots. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1927868 Title: vRouter not working after update to 16.3.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/1927868/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It is expected that updates may overwrite system files. [Bug 1874096]
In my understanding, it is not so much of the random destruction order or QObject's, but that all QObject's in Python has to be destructed before QCoreApplication. PyQt already solved it if the QCoreApplication is created from the Python side, by ensuring all QObject's destruction before QCoreApplication. but since in our case QCoreApplication is not created from Python, their solution doesn't do anything for us. In our case, the KritaPyQtPlugin destructor (and thus PyKrita::finalize) is called during the destructor of QCoreApplication, which might be triggering UB? So I wonder if the proper way to clean up is to call PyKrita::finalize earlier, perhaps we can use the QCoreApplication::aboutToQuit signal? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874096 Title: Closing Krita normally always result in "Krita closed unexpectedly" notification on Plasma To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/krita/+bug/1874096/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1874096]
As far as I understand it, this is a race condition inside PyQt5 related to the order of destruction of Python-based QObject instances. Since the call that trigger the crash is the destruction of the plugin itself (which in turn stops the Python engine, etc... as your stacktrace shows), I believe only the PyQt5 authors can solve it.

[Bug 702884] Re: The event delete_self with inotyfywait never occur
Hi Anders, Thanks for your message. I am the maintainer of inotify-tools in Debian. Today I did several tests in Debian Sid, using your version (inotify- tools_3.13-3) and the newer version (3.20.11.0-1). I can't reproduce these errors. I got the following replies, without a freeze: # inotifywait -e delete_self /tmp/foo Setting up watches. Watches established. /tmp/foo DELETE_SELF # inotifywait -e delete /tmp Setting up watches. Watches established. /tmp/ DELETE foo Considering other tests, I am convinced that the problem occurred in kernel API or other environment control. So, I am closing this bug. [Bug 1933006] [NEW] [SRU] Ubuntu Studio Support no longer on freenode
Public bug reported: [Impact] * Users of Ubuntu Studio 20.04 LTS currently have a menu item that takes them to the Freenode IRC web chat for the #ubuntustudio channel. However, Ubuntu Studio's support channel no longer exists on Freenode. * Following the move from Freenode to libera.chat, there is no longer an easy way to connect users to a web chat interface with a predefined channel. * In Ubuntu Studio 20.10 and later, this menu item was changed to be a weblink to the Ubuntu Studio Matrix chatroom via matrix.org, and are directed to either install a Matrix client or use the Element web interface. This Matrix chatroom, which was formerly bridged to #ubuntustudio on Freenode, is now bridged to #ubuntustudio on libera.chat. [Test Plan] * Install Ubuntu Studio 20.04 LTS via either the Live ISO or ubuntustudio-installer with ubuntustudio-menu. * Open weblink to Ubuntu Studio Support in launcher menu (or Activities on GNOME). * Users are directed to Freenode's webchat and join ##ubuntustudio, which is not the official room. [Regression Potential] * The only regression potential might be confusion among users, however, this was announced by the Community Council and IRC council. * Other regression potential might be that the web link stops working, in which case, another SRU would be necessary. ** Affects: ubuntustudio-menu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1933006 Title: [SRU] Ubuntu Studio Support no longer on freenode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntustudio-menu/+bug/1933006/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1923291] Re: package zfs-dkms (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: installed zfs-dkms package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 10
Apologies, I thought I'd replied to Colin's msg above. I'd rebuilt the box a couple of time by the time I read that and no longer had the make.log available as the disk had been reformated. Can confirm that moving to 21.04 and no longer had the problem -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923291 Title: package zfs-dkms (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: installed zfs-dkms package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1923291/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
