[Bug 928553] Re: Non-default wallpapers are not readable by Unity-Greeter
Personally, I haven't been affected by this bug anymore. (Also, I stopped having my HOME encrypted, and now I use full disk encryption, which is a better solution anyhow) Now, when you right click on an image and "Set as wallpaper", it'll get copied to ~/Pictures/Wallpapers this folder is world readable, so if the issue was with the folder, it's now solved. The file itself still retains its permissions, but I think this is on purpose. If a custom wallpaper is added with the + button inside the control panel, the picture is not copied, so you'd need to workaround that manually. I think all of this might still be an issue if the HOME is encrypted. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/928553 Title: Non-default wallpapers are not readable by Unity-Greeter To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-control-center/+bug/928553/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1512002] Re: Annoying dialog "Authentication is required to change your own user data"
@seb128, thanks for releasing the fix, but it appears that not all the patch from comment #36 was applied: - auth_self - auth_self + yes + yes is still "auth_self" in accountsservice 0.6.40-2ubuntu10, and I think that it takes priority over , so the problem still persists and can be reproduced as described in comment #36. Could you please re-release the fix while applying the whole patch? Hi, today i tested kernel drm-intel-nightly (5f13745078ab86d9833a181980afc7888157a9a4) with patch 82206 applied and i still have the issue that sometimes my external screens turn to black and recover bit later. Sometimes one does not recover at all or is flickering afterwards. The dmesg log still shows some "[drm:gen8_de_irq_handler] The master control interrupt lied (SDE)!" messages. [Bug 1572868] Re: can't download audacity
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal: sudo apt-get clean Then try performing the update again. [Bug 1572888] [NEW] XMir applications have wrong scaling
Public bug reported: On my BQ Aquaris M10, when I launch a Xapp (ex: Firefox or LibreOffice), scaling is not good. I have to zoom around 150% to enjoy a good scaling for my screen size. [Bug 1572525] Re: [regression] Double header height is set as flickable topMargin
Hi Tim, I attached a branch which should give you an idea of how I think the problem can be solved. Beware, I didn't test it and it's not complete (it doesn't adjust contentY yet), it's just to be used as a starting point. In that branch I'm attaching some extra data to the flickable (using setProperty; but other methods, such a static QHash are also possible -- I used setProperty because then I don't have to care about memory management): - The original value of topMargin, before any header was bound to the flickable - The number of headers currently bound to the flickable This makes it easy to restore the flickable's margin once the last header detaches from it. Please let me know if you'd like me to continue working on this branch, or if you'd like to take it over yourself, or if you completely disagree with this solution. I don't see any reason why something like this wouldn't work but, as I wrote, I didn't test it, so maybe I'm missing some big point. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1572525 Title: [regression] Double header height is set as flickable topMargin To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1572525/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1571155] Re: OSK in messaging-app is very slow
Same behaviour, also on BQ 4.5 For me the pauses when inputting text are short (maybe half a second). During the short freeze, there is no feedback when pressing letters and nothing appears on the screen. After the freeze, all the selected letters suddenly appear. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1571155 Title: OSK in messaging-app is very slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/messaging-app/+bug/1571155/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
