Public bug reported: The /var/log/openvswitch/ovs-vswitchd.log gets really big with DPDK ports used. On every add/remove it reports a log line for every active port on every PMD active CPU.
Not critical, but it can really grow hundreds of megabytes in minutes, we should likely find and lower the verbosity level. Or do some kind of ratelimit there. Also this can get as bad as to stall adding/removing ports when having a lot of them. ** Affects: dpdk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Triaged ** Affects: openvswitch-dpdk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: openvswitch-dpdk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: dpdk (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1572898 Title: openvswitch dpif_netdev too verbose To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpdk/+bug/1572898/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
