[Bug 1150414] Re: libtorrent-rasterbar.so.6 error in Ubuntu 12.10
I'm running 12.04.02 AMD64. I upgraded qBittorrent to v3.0.9 today and started to get this error myself. The only thing that seemed to work was to revert libtorrent-rasterbar6 to version 0.15.10-1. apt-get install libtorrent-rasterbar6=0.15.10-1 Before doing this, when I got the following results: $ ls -al /usr/lib/*raster* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 Mar 10 2012 /usr/lib/libtorrent-rasterbar.so.7 -> libtorrent-rasterbar.so.7.0.0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2708896 Mar 10 2012 /usr/lib/libtorrent-rasterbar.so.7.0.0 After, I get this: $ ls -al /usr/lib/*raster* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 Mar 10 2012 /usr/lib/libtorrent-rasterbar.so.6 -> libtorrent-rasterbar.so.6.0.0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2708896 Mar 10 2012 /usr/lib/libtorrent-rasterbar.so.6.0.0 I'm not sure which PPA installed a newer version of this, but it had something to do with miro. Downgrading libtorrent-rasterbar6 caused miro packages to be removed. Not a big deal, I never used miro much any way. Somehow I think I ended up with version 0.16.3-0ubuntu1 of libtorrent-rasterbar6 which is from 12.10. So if you are on Ubuntu 12.10 and are getting this problem, try the following: apt-get install libtorrent-rasterbar6=0.16.3-0ubuntu1 Might work for you the way it did for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1150414 Title: libtorrent-rasterbar.so.6 error in Ubuntu 12.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qbittorrent/+bug/1150414/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1166812] Re: black screen 3.2.0-40-generic kernel
Same problem here with a Lenovo W500. I'm not using whole disc encryption however (but use an encrypted /home). I have tried the "Boot options" instructions but the screen goes to black before anything meaningful is written (also it gets black quite quickly). 3.2.0-39 works like a charm and 3.2.0-40 in recovery mode also works so it's probably due to some driver/module. [Bug 1163358] Re: Missing liblttng-ust-ctl.so.0
** Changed in: ust (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => Triaged ** Summary changed: - Missing liblttng-ust-ctl.so.0 + [FFe] Sync ltt-control and remove lttng-tools to fix broken lttng in 13.04 ** Description changed: - liblttng-ust-ctl.so.0 is not provided by any package in raring. There is - a broken symbolic link: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/liblttng-ust-ctl.so -> - liblttng-ust-ctl.so.1.0.0 (target is missing). + Ubuntu ships "lttng-tools" which is a packaged version of LTTng's + "lttng-tools" tarball. Debian ships the same thing, including an almost + identical copy of our packaging using an old "ltt-control" source + package name. + + This is as far as I know the only bit of the LTTng stack that we aren't + in sync with, most likely because of the different source package name + which made it drop off my radar. + + Anyway, our lttng-tools is now outdated and broken in 13.04 as can be seen in this bug report, so I'd like us to do the following: + - Sync ltt-control from Debian (2.1.1-2 should do the trick) + - Remove the lttng-tools source from Ubuntu + - Check that everything now works + + As things stand, the control daemon simply crashes at startup, so I'm + seeing this as a very low-risk action as "things can't really go any + worse". + + Asking for an FFe nonetheless as we're talking about a pretty major + version bump which will bring new features in the process (I can + probably dig an exact list if anyone cares). + + + --- Original bug report --- + liblttng-ust-ctl.so.0 is not provided by any package in raring. There is a broken symbolic link: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/liblttng-ust-ctl.so -> liblttng-ust-ctl.so.1.0.0 (target is missing). [Bug 1069570] Re: 1 MAC Address, two IPs - DNS is "out of sync" with DHCP leases databases, I think...
@stgraber, whilst I am not happy with the latest debdiff.. I do think this issue requires closer consideration. This is the only way that has been determined to resolve multiple IP leases per boot (can consume up to 3 different ones, with some configurations). This means that pools are quickly exhausted, which is a real issue in larger deployments. Therefore, it would seem to be the best way to solve this bug. Whilst this does introduce a new configuration option, it has a seemingly low impact - as it doesn't change defaults, nor require configuration changes to people upgrading - is a well documented change in the manpage. And importantly, solves a larger bug that has been an issue for some time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069570 Title: 1 MAC Address, two IPs - DNS is "out of sync" with DHCP leases databases, I think... [Bug 1116393] Re: Navigating folders which include network shares in the folder structure can cause an application to freeze
Same problem on Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS/Kernel 3.5.0.22.29/lts-quantal , Fedora 17/Kernel 3.8.4-102/x86_64 and 3.6.2-4/i686, similar problem on Debian 6/Kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64 (CIFS VFS: No writable handles for inode), ... all installed on plain hardware. So this seems not to be a VirtualBox-Problem as stated in another thread and also not a problem of a special kernel version, architecture or distribution.
