Not a cheese bug. Cheese is just a recording program, it displays the video output from the webcam. and it can only make software changes. The webcam settings [FPS, etc..] are controlled by the drivers and how far the webcam driver support has been done for the particular webcam model. To test, Install package : v4l2ucp Depending on the level of webcam support , Once installed you will have the options in : System > Preferences > Video4Linux Control Panel If you dont have the options the drivers are not yet completed for your webcam. [Bug 640785] Re: nautilus file preview does not respect file size limit
from nautilus developers "This is intentional, because creating a preview for a video file some GB large is not more expensive than creating one for a 1MB video. [Bug 503443] Re: console showing old content after folder renamed in other console
Even more confusing is that if you then create a file in in terminal 1 while still apparently working in the old non-existent dir, it then appears in terminal 2 in the newly re-located dir, So bash clearly knows where we really are it's just not updating the prompt. [Bug 657576] [NEW] maverick / radeon: repeated errors during boot
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg As you can see in the attached dmesg log, an error message from radeon / ttm is repeated many many times during boot (i.e. before the login screen appears). These errors flash by too fast to read them, so it looks as if the display is broken or something. I also see some suspicious messages about remounts and some IRQ that I didn't get before Maverick, but they're probably not related directly to this radeon thing. FWIW, I'm using the X default (i.e. no xorg.conf present) of radeon only because the new fglrx driver didn't work at all (black screen, computer hangs) any more. It was fine back in Lucid (3D acceleration and all). [Bug 655111] Re: BCM4312 not supported by "Additional drivers". B43 is proposed, fails w/o useful message, "Not supported low-power chip"
Michael, I just thought about this again, and while disabling the b43 driver would have made sense in maverick, doing so in an SRU isn't really the best thing IMHO. People will see this right after installation (where updates aren't installed yet?) or even on the live CD. Also, when installing with network, ubiquity can now install the wl driver automatically, without confusion. [Bug 654236] Re: SRU : Please release choqok 0.9.85 for lucid
This has tons of unrelated changes, including UI changes, new features, new backends, new modules, etc. Thus this has a lot of regression potential. Is it possible in any way to just backport the move to oauth? We'd still need a backport of qoauth of course (bug 654241), but since that's a new package the regression potential is low. If backporting doesn't work, then from my perspective we can also do the full jump, but in that case I'd like to get a second ack from another SRU team member. In any case, please upload the two packages, so that they are ready for review.
