[Bug 67111] Re: Cyrus linked against db4.4 compiled against 4.3 ?
Attached is a debdiff for uploading to edgy-proposed. This bug is a regression from Dapper, and is actually quite nasty. The init script fires off a master process which spawns off an imapd and/or pop3d process. They die horribly with a SEGV due to this libdb brain damage, are immediately re-spawned by the master process, and proceed to die again. Rinse and repeat. The debdiff fixes the bug by patching configure (which the Debian build does anyway) to not include db4.4 in it's list of libdb versions. ** Attachment added: "debdiff" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6516492/cyrus-edgy-proposed.debdiff -- Cyrus linked against db4.4 compiled against 4.3 ? https://launchpad.net/bugs/67111 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 87310] [Feisty] cannot configure static ip address
Public bug reported: Feisty on amd64. I was unable to set a static ip address. After booting the pc, the network manager applet showed some activity and it claimed I am connected to wired network. But in the informations about connection there were only zeros (ip, gateway, etc.) I wanted to launch a network admin, but it crashed. After killing the network manager applet, I was able to launch the network admin. Wired network was set to roaming (no idea what it is?). I unchecked roaming and fill in the network static configuration information, but after quitting network admin and launching it again all data were lost. Than I manually edited the file /etc/network/interfaces and added there the needed information. I launched firefox, but with no luck. Neither after restart, I prevented network manager from launching, I couldn't connect. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- [Feisty] cannot configure static ip address https://launchpad.net/bugs/87310 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 87317] Screensaver just detects idle time on one screen
Public bug reported: I've got a dual screen setup (running Nvidia's drivers and two monitors off one graphics card). When I work on one screen exclusively for the screensaver timeout amount of time, the screensaver starts dimming the screen regardless. [Bug 86338] Re: Crash on submitting forum reply (AnandTech)
Hello Alexander... Sorry for the delayed reply here. I am still experiencing the crashing here but because I've been busy at work (where the system with the crashing is occuring) I haven't been posting as much so I don't have much new info to offer. I will try to upload that crash report file again when I submit this. Hi xtknight: I am running the x386 32-bit Ubuntu on an IBM T42. My Firefox version is just the default that comes with it. I do have some add-ons installed and I do have flash installed as well. My symptoms are the same as yours. I submit a post or send a PM and the window I submitted disappears. The main window which should reload freezes. By that I mean I can't interact with it if it's focused. If it's in the background I can't click on it in the panel or alt-tab to it. Shortly after that it disappears. If I have multiple Firefox windows or tabs open they all crash. Only 2 times has it given me the option to report the crash. My session also remains saved. ** Attachment added: "Crash report from original bug reporting" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6517385/_usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash -- Crash on submitting forum reply (AnandTech) https://launchpad.net/bugs/86338 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 70178] Re: Isn't recognized by RadRails
Hi, rubygems is only available as a .deb in Feisty. For Edgy (6.10) and lower, you can try installing rubygems manually. It's not that Ubuntu is unwilling to use rubygems, it's probably just because it's only recently that it was made available in Debian and synced in Ubuntu. I hope this helps. -- Isn't recognized by RadRails https://launchpad.net/bugs/70178 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
