Re: [Talks] Generating the up arrow character on my Nokia E72
I know I am responding to this email, almost two months late, but I've not been paying attention to my cell phone lists recently. Anyway, I looked on my E65 and the uparrow or carrot symbol does exist, however, it is called "power sign". As soon as I heard that, I knew it was likely to be the carrot symbol. From way back when, in the days of only ascii, people would use the carrot as the exponent sign. I had a sighted coworker confirm that "power sign" was definitely the carrot symbol. [Talks] Butt dialing: Was RE: Casn replace words with a symbol.
Around here, accidentally dialing your cell phone while it is in your pocket is called butt dialing. That is b u t t as in one's posterior. I have received a number of butt calls from various people. it is amusing to hear them going about their business, completely unaware that their phone has placed a call. Typically it happens with a speed dial, not a random number dial. For that reason, I keep my phone locked all the time. -- Blue skies. Dan Rossi Carnegie Mellon University. Thomas, Thanks for pointing this out again, and I'll accept apologies from anyone who told me that it was impossible for WayFinder to do route calculation on the cell phone because it was entirely too processor intensive, and just couldn't be done. *GRIN* -- Blue skies. Re: [Talks] .VCF Files
Microsoft XP has an addressbook appplication, you can find it under programs / accessories. You can use the addressbook to import, edit, and export vcf files. You can also edit them just in notepad if you wanted to. You might need to be careful of formatting if using notepad though. -- Blue skies. Dan Rossi Carnegie Mellon University.
