[Talks] talks object viewer

2011-01-17 Thread Bernard Hemmings
Hi all and Stephen,
I just love the talks object viewer. It took me a while to figure out you
can't set the same object roll twice on the same screen you have to experiment
as to which one is spoken first. Now when I open mobile weather and update
locations it reads me the location, temperature, wind speed, sun rise and sun
set. It takes some experimentation but if your patient you sur as hell can
customize the info and the order you receive it in with a given software
package.
One thing I notice you can assign objects to keys from 1 to 4 are these the
number keys or other keys on the phone. How then do I make say key 1 read it's
object?

Re: [Talks] Talks in different languages

Allan

If you already have a VCM/RSM license, then what Dennis said also will work
for you. Just install the extra languages for the TTS type that you are
licensed to run. Now you may need to switch to that TTS in order to read a
item in that language but this can quickly be done with Talks followed by a
long press of Clear to bring up the TTS list. Then arrow to the TTS that you
want to use and press select.

I did not have much luck with the radio program as there are to many unknown

Another thing I noticed with the radio is that several options like search,

object and now that speaks when I up or down arrow to it.

[Talks] "Suggested proposal for future enhancements"

Hello:
I may compose some suggestions which may function properly on the
anticipated future release:
As I know that's there are some dealers who observe regularly the
list posts, so they may raise this petitions to the appropriate
department:
I know that is kind of reputation, unless I will reduce them as much
as potential:
One:
Internet activation for third and fifth series:
Two:
Resolution of navigating by character and spelling words as necessary
on internet webpages.
Three:
Brilliant percentage spoken when being receiver on a bluetooth
connection, or any other similarity.
these are the major issues which I can think of at the moment, and I
will keep on notifying if recalling any furthers occur.

Even then, you can install other Eloquence voices with your current license.
So I'm missing something! I do not see your complaint, being you can install
all the Eloquence voices. Eloquence comes in much more then just English.
Look at the Nuance web site for all the different languages you can use with
Eloquence. You do not need to have a VCM/RSM license to use other languages.
All TTS support other languages other then English.

The way Bernard I did this is I know that the Internet Radio program will
befault to the last plaied stations. So I got to the main screen of the
internet Radio program then went into the object viewer and found the line
that had the last plaied station. Then I set that line to focus. Then when I
gacked out, I found when I arrowed up and down it read must of what was on
the main screen.

Yes It does take some playing around and tried things but progress can be

The way Bernard I did this is I know that the Internet Radio program will
befault to the last plaied stations. So I got to the main screen of the
internet Radio program then went into the object viewer and found the
line that had the last plaied station. Then I set that line to focus. Then
when I gacked out, I found when I arrowed up and down it read must of what
was on the main screen.

Yes It does take some playing around and tried things but progress can be
made.

I did not have much luck with the radio program as there are to many
unknown objects I think sighted help would be needed. I assume with an
unknown object you would create a dictionary entry.
Another thing I noticed with the radio is that several options like
search, directory and options seem to be listed as one object. I found
the listen object and now that speaks when I up or down arrow to it.

The Key1-x are your SoftKeys. Example: Options, Back, Change. Normally
Talks followed by SoftKey1 will read your SoftKeys.

Hi all and Stephen,
I just love the talks object viewer. It took me a while to figure out
you can't set the same object roll twice on the same screen you have to
experiment as to which one is spoken first. Now when I open mobile
weather and update locations it reads me the location, temperature,
wind speed, sun rise and sun set. It takes some experimentation but if
your patient you sur as hell can customize the info and the order you
receive it in with a given software package.
One thing I notice you can assign objects to keys from 1 to 4 are these
the number keys or other keys on the phone. How then do I make say key
1 read it's object?

Re: [Talks] Talks in different languages

2011-01-17 Thread Allan
hi Stephen,
the original email i wrote is not actually a complain, it is just advice to
someone who dont know. of course i know that i can
install many eloquence language with my license, because currently i am having
elo-USEnglish, elo-UKEnglish and elo-Chinese/English
installed in my X6. but my concern is to those who dont know, they might
thought their license are good for all kind of TTS, but
after doing all steps only realize they are not license to use VCM/RSM. so, it
is not a complain, just an advice.

Allan

Even then, you can install other Eloquence voices with your current license.
So I'm missing something! I do not see your complaint, being you can install
all the Eloquence voices. Eloquence comes in much more then just English.
Look at the Nuance web site for all the different languages you can use with
Eloquence. You do not need to have a VCM/RSM license to use other languages.
All TTS support other languages other then English.

yes, i knew about it, that is why i said in my email, if one doesn't have
their license with VCM or RSM, they will not be able to
use those extra TTS. because of the price expencive, lots of talks owner
doesn't pay the extra for those TTS, they just have license
to use eloquence, and i am one of them.

Then arrow to the TTS that you
want to use and press select.

but if you dont have license for VCM or RSM, you are not able to use those
TTS, you must add to your current license.

Just install the tts of your choice. For example if you wanted French and
you have a eloquence tts license you would install eloquence French and it
should work.
