[Qmail-scanner-general]remote sa

2006-06-01 Thread admin
Hi,
is there any way to use remote sa daemon via tcp with qs-1.25? What should be
changed to support it?
Regards,
Eduardo

RE: [Qmail-scanner-general]clamdscan has problem?

2004-06-14 Thread admin
Hi,

sorry for no-quoting message, and for my english!

Some week later I have the same problem.
In my case a solution is set to user/group bin.bin
ripemime program.

After this setting all is O.K., and clamav works very very fine!
If you decide use a not clamav daemon, you can't check
clamscan permission, and is a very simple way!
(Into your log appear configured CLAMDSCAN).
... a result is a message "temporary qq problem", and qmail don't
send a message

Kill you clam daemon, and use "direct-call" on clamav program
During qmail-scanner configuration you enable CLAMSCAN, NOT CLAMDSCAN!

That's all!

Bye,

Enrico

Re: [Qmail-scanner-general]Server getting hammered.

2004-05-05 Thread Sheldon Jones - Admin
You may try running some sort of throttling tool. I'm running
qmail-spamthrottle on our network. http://spamthrottle.qmail.ca/
This is not a fix to the problem but it will slow the rate at which
messages are sent to your server. This will usually send the spammer
searching for a new ISP.
