Hi, sorry for no-quoting message, and for my english!
Some week later I have the same problem. In my case a solution is set to user/group bin.bin ripemime program. After this setting all is O.K., and clamav works very very fine! If you decide use a not clamav daemon, you can't check clamscan permission, and is a very simple way! (Into your log appear configured CLAMDSCAN). ... a result is a message "temporary qq problem", and qmail don't send a message .... Kill you clam daemon, and use "direct-call" on clamav program.... During qmail-scanner configuration you enable CLAMSCAN, NOT CLAMDSCAN! That's all!
