I need some help

2020-02-19 Thread Domingo J Rubira López
Sorry for this mail. I am sure I am not sending to the right place nor in
the right way.

Recently I have started to use PSPP in my Windows System and I can't do
things I am sure they can be done. Things as Pareto Diagram or combining
data files.

In manual I can see them, but I don't really know how to do it or where I
must write
orders.

I would be very pleasant if any of you can help me.

Thank you a lot and sorry again.

Some Non-parametric tests

I would be pleasant if any of you could help me to find out how I can get
Kruskal-Wallis test and Spearman correlation in PSPP.

Thanks everybody.

An easy question

2020-08-11 Thread Domingo J Rubira López
Sorry for my question. I am starting using PSPP and I have some easy
troubles. I tried to find the answer but I couldn't.

I would like to add files, I see the next sintaxis but I don't understand
what I must write for my files.

/FILE={*,’file name’}
[/RENAME=(src names=target names). . .]
[/IN=var name]
[/SORT]

I write this sintaxis when I have one or the files opened. In file name I
write the name of the other file. What must I write instead of src names
or target names or var name ?

I am sure you are thinking I am very lost it is not too hard. I think too.
Could anybody help me?? Thank you a lot.

Domingo.

I can't install it

2020-08-13 Thread Domingo J Rubira López
Hello everybody, could anyone help me?

I am trying to install pspp on my personal computer (to work at home). I
have Windows 10 Home system (64 bits) and I tried the most exe files in
http://pspp.awardspace.info/ and
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pspp4windows/

I don't really know why, but it doesn't work properly. I can't import data.
It always stays in the first step, choosing the file, it never continues to
select if all cases or only the first ones. I can´t add files either. It
says there is an error with the file. But at work I got it, so it is a
problem from my pc or my pspp version.

Where can I get a pspp software to work properly? Must I install anything
before?

Thank you

Domingo

Re: I can't install it

2020-08-17 Thread Domingo J Rubira López
Dear Alan, what a machine you are! But everything can't be in pink
colour, lol.

I have imported data at last! The last trouble must be the directory's
name as you said. I changed the folder called "Excel" into desktop and IT
WORKS!

I inspected all programs on my computer and I found one called "Segurazo"
similar to an antivirus. I uninstalled it and installed again the latest
PSPP version (GNU pspp 1.2.0-g0fb4db). After that I got the data imported.

The problem now is with "add files command". You know it was my other
trouble. I write in sintaxis the following sentence: add files
/file="prot.sav" /file="dataset1.sav". I am sure the folder is on the
desktop directly too.

It shows a message error (the screenshot) and there is a space between '
and the first letter of the name (prot.sav) and the first quotation mark is
a bit strange. What can I do now?

Thanks

Re: Problem to search

2020-08-23 Thread Domingo J Rubira López
I have tried several times with different values and variables with no
results. It does nothing.

How can I upgrade to 1.4.0 version? I didn't find it. Must I uninstall mine
first? I have a 64 b windows 10 system.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Problem to search

2020-08-24 Thread Domingo J Rubira López
Thanks to all of you.

I have filed three bug reports as Alan recommended. About compiling the new
version myself... What a funny person you are, Alan! As all of you have
seen, I am not good at computers. I have to confess that I had to look for
what non-ASCII characters are to understand what you wrote. So I laughed
when I read about compiling myself. It was funny. I am only a bug searcher
and I prefer waiting for people who can whisper to computers like Harry;
meanwhile I will ask smart men like all of you, lol.

Thank you.
Domingo

Speaman and Tau

2020-11-01 Thread Domingo J Rubira López
Hello psppers!

I would like to get a Spearman correlation but I can't. I don't really know
what to write in sintaxis to get Spearman correlation and Tau-Kendall with
their signification or p value.

Thank you.
