Building the Linux Kernel [ -stable- 3.5.x ] - Kconfig/Kbuild for newbies 2. Linux Kernel architecture transition from 2.6 to 3.5 3. Linux Kernel architecture - overview of sub-systems - basic architecture for device drivers I shall need help to select the right schedule and place for each of the sessions. Beyond the 3rd session, people who are experts in various subsystems of the kernel could share more detailed information. Comments and ideas are welcome. Thanks for the response, Arun. I did do that before posting this message, but no luck, the problem remains. Also spent quite a lot of time googling, but no useful info could be found. It's probably some bug? But this is happening only on my laptop -- with the same distro (Ubuntu 12.04) it's fine on my desktop as well as a friend's laptop. And there's no difference in the set of programmes that's loaded on all these, so why's it happening only on my laptop? ___ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List
Re: [PLUG] Help required
> Will it be possible to recover the windows files from the external hard > disc ?? It's possible to recover entire partition with help of "testdisk". Whether it is windows file or linux file it can scan and recover the partition it self. So try to live book Ubuntu or other OS which runs "testdisk" recovery tool. then scan your hard disk. It can recover partition which is even deleted or formatted. I've formatted my whole partition table and it recovered them all. Google out some info about the "testdisk". There are some videos about how it recovers also on Youtube. ___ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List

I would like learn about the transformation of:- - Process Scheduling - Memory management - Device management - IO subsystem Hi, Sunil I would really like to hear about the internals of Linux kernel and the details of kernel design 3.5 . Also I would like to learn about Linux Kernel Compilation and actually downloading a raw Linux Kernel(www.kernel.org), compiling it and booting the machine through the newly compiled kernel. Again please try to schedule the talk in this month itself. Thanks, Raju D. Vindane ___ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List
