It's possible to recover entire partition with help of "testdisk". Whether it is windows file or linux file it can scan and recover the partition it self. So try to live book Ubuntu or other OS which runs "testdisk" recovery tool. then scan your hard disk. It can recover partition which is even deleted or formatted. I've formatted my whole partition table and it recovered them all. Google out some info about the "testdisk".
