Sound Forge doesn't do multi track sadly. It does 7.1 surround sound and 5.1 surround sound though. The pro version. Re: looking for a good malty track recorder.
I thought I would give Reaper with Reaaccess a trial today. Since losing the visual ability to use Audition to the best of it's functionality I miss it dearly. I know you generally get what you pay for but I used Sonar in the past and (just my own experience not a statement against Sonar or their Cake products) I never had good experience with stability so I decided to give reaper a trial before deciding where to put my income tax refund. This is the first time in my life when deciding what guitar or recording tech to buy, I actually had to sit here and consider before spending the money if I lose what little sight I have left (not a whole lot I use Jaws with Magic at 20 X) will whatever I buy still be useful. It is a strange feeling. blind5sparrow -Original Message- From: Hamit Campos Sent: Monday, February 27, 2012 7:50 AM To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: RE: looking for a good malty track recorder. Re: looking for a good malty track recorder.
The latest version of Sonar is not accessible with jaws. Most people are using Sonar 8.5. However, Reaper is a very good alternitave. If you subscribe to the midi mag list, there are a number of people who are very expert at using both Sonar and Reaper and they would be very happy to help you with either or both. Hi Stewart, Just type reaper in google and you should find it. I believe you get a 30 day trial and then it costs about £60 or £70, which is a very reasonable price for such a powerful multi recording program. Fritzbox
Hi! The subject of computers and answering machines seems to come up from time to time on this list. I'm using a Fritzbox 7390 router which also has excellent VOIP facilities built-in and even more! For example it has a DECT base station which can manage 6 cordless telephone handsets and 5 configurable answering machines. One of the great features I like about the answering machines is the ability for the Fritzbox to "email" incoming messages. Recording is excellent given that the device uses chips for storage. If you rely on your answering machine a lot and you need more space then you can attach an external drive or memory stick to the Fritzbox to increase the size of the storage for your answering machine amongst other things. links in mirror creator
I am trying to find an answer to a most perplexing problem. Is anyone familiar with a web site called http://www.mirrorcreator.com ? I subscribe to a list where one fellow posts a lot of stuff from this particular site, and none of the links are clickable with any screen reader I have ever tried including Window-Eyes 7.5.3 and Jaws 13. I also tried with a version of NVDA with no results. I am a bit reluctant to post more specifics as I do not wish to incur the wrath of the moderators. Here is a sample of what I am talking about. Art Tatum - Art Tatum's Finest Hour [] Bitrate: 320K/s Time: 61:36 Size: 141.0 MB Label: Verve Styles: Piano jazz Year: 2000 Art: Front [3:05] 1. Liza [2:52] 2. Gone With The Wind [3:12] 3. As part of Verve's Finest Hour series, the blind virtuoso pianist is spotlighted on versions of "Liza," "Tea for Two," "Deep Purple," "Tiger Rag," and "Rosetta." Tatum is heard unaccompanied and with small combos on this 19-song budget sampler. While it would be inconceivable to compile a single disc of Tatum's contribution to jazz, this collection is satisfying, especially for anyone new to the extraordinary pianist. ~ Al Campbell Recorded between August 24, 1934 and July 3, 1955. AV Receivers with accessible web interface
Hi guys, Wow, it's great to be back on the list. I need to find out if anyone knows how accessible the web interfaces are on home AV receivers. I know there are also smart phone apps, but I don't have a smart phone so need to use a regular PC. Any and all information would be very much appreciated. Have a good one... Re: AV Receivers with accessible web interface
Hi! I don't have a top of the line Denon AV receiver yet but I know someone who does and I've played with it through the web interface without any problem. As far as accessibility goes with Smartphone apps? That's very problmatic in my experience. On 28/02/2012, at 9:13 AM, Norma A. Boge wrote: > Hi guys, > > Wow, it's great to be back on the list. Re: audible
According to the web page http://www.soundtaxi.org/soundtaxi_audio_conversion_Audible.php this is supported. I'm not saying it doesn't violate your terms of condition with Audible, but at least according to the Sound Taxi web site, this is technically possible. I also noticed that Quicktime is a prerequisite for Sound Taxi, so this also lends some credibility to that statement. To test it, you can download Sound Taxi for free and use it in trial mode. It's fully functional, but it'll only convert a few minutes of audio. This is enough to see if it's going to work or not. The Platinum version costs $20, but I'd suggest upgrading to the pro version for $27. It's only $7 more, and the performance makes it worth the price if you're going to be using Sound Taxi to convert more than just a handful of files.
