Hi, a 4 ch mono and two stereo with faders and pre fader function is enough. The mixer doesn't to be noisy, it will be good also if allows to do clear voice recordings. Re: a good mixer for live broadcasting?
Hi mario! yes, it can be very useful, for instans, my new mixer has it's own pre listening knob, which I can turn on to hear my jaws if I should use headphones while doing a live broadcasting. in fact, I might fix some more cables to this mixer to connect my laptop to it, so that I don't have to use so much speakers. Well, I like to use speakers in the day, but in the night, I prefer headphones if I should be doing a broadcasting one night. Regards, Jörgen Hansson! Looking for an accessible DVD player
I'm looking for an accessible software DVD player. Looking back through the archives, it seems that the most recommended is Power DVD. For trial, I downloaded an older version, version 7, and found it not to be very accessible, though it seems that some of the controls can be access through the applications menu. Are later versions, or alternative skins more accessible, or perhaps are their scripts? I had thought that DVD's could also be played through Winamp my preferred media player, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Hi, thanks, but how windows see these USB mixers?? I will want to know if every channel is seen as a separate device as my m-audio. Re: a good mixer for live broadcasting?
Mario, The Behringer mixers are low noise mixers but always remember that what you may hear as noise is more often than not being produced by the microphone. If you have a M-audio sound card, I would suggest that you stay away from using a mixer with a USB interface. I doubt that anyone could tell whether you were using a USB interface or connecting to your sound card with traditional cables, unless you told them first. However, note that most of the mixers with USB interfaces also have the traditional analogue output as well. Be careful if you go to purchase from a retailer in the USA. Some will tell you that they do not ship to Europe but others may not tell you. The important thing to establish is that the power supply is compatible with your local requirements. That is why I suggested Behringer mixers because Behringer is a German company and the mixers are made for European conditions. For more information, go to www.behringer.com where you will be able to find a local retailer. One of their xenyx line of mixers will meet your requirements because there are so many models with different combinations of features. Hi Robert, I was tinking of using a mixer because I want to go on air, and manage volume directly with faders, controlling music and microphone separately. There is a way for doing this with my m-audio? Sorry but I'am really confused. Re: a good mixer for live broadcasting?
High Mario and Robert, Two things here. #1. the M-Audio sound cards don't usually have microphone input jacks on them, so you will need some kind of a preamp to get the mike to work anyway. #2. If you end up getting electronic equipment from the United States, some of it usually have 105 to 215 volt switches on them. But if they don't, there is a power transformer that you can buy to step the 220 volts down to 110 volts. Hope this helps. My best regards. Hi robert, my sound card has the mic input, and i have also a processor, a dbx 286a. You suggested to continue to use my sound card for recordings, the problem is that when i need to go on air i have to move all cables to connect the mic and the processor to the mixer, and not to the sound card, this because i need to manage all volumes through the mixer. Is there a way to use my sound card without moving all? Thanks in advance and sorry again. -- msg. originale -- Oggetto: Re: a good mixer for live broadcasting? On or Off topic, I'm not sure.
Ok, Since there are many on this list who are not from North America, I thought it might be a good place to ask this soccer question. I think the World Cup is going to be broadcast online this year in the U.s. and Canada on Espn. I have never been able to understand the basics of how soccer is played--how many players, and, is it like hockey, only not on ice? If there is a website that would explain these things, or if someone wants to write me off list, I would really appreciate it. Sorry for probably is an off topic post.
