Re: some questions about burning CDS with Roxio Easy Media Creator 10
I don't use Roxio so can't be really specific. However I can answer one question for you. All audio files are treated the same by every burner software I've used. Example, Nero has a choice of burning an audio or data CD. The audio may be music or just speech--it doesn't matter as the finished CD is the same as far as file formats are concerned. Just as an audio tape can contain either music or spoken word and the player doesn't care which. So don't let that one confuse you--just burn all your audio CDs as though they are music if that's the only choice you have. They'll play back just fine in any ordinary CD player. Hope this helps. Re: some questions about burning CDS with Roxio Easy Media Creator 10
Hi Roger, Thank you for your reply, and the answer to at least one of my questions. The point is however, that while I understand exactly what you are saying, I just think that designers of burning software should allow for the fact that, not everyone burns music and therefore the fields for information in such storage areas as libraries such as the one in Windows Media Player, and also the equivalent area in Roxio, should not be designed with music specific titles like artist and album. Audio in video files not playing correctly in WinAmp
Hi all, I have some TV shows in .avi format which use the XviD video codec and the MP3 audio codec. If I play these files in PowerDVD, the audio sounds absolutely fine, however in any other player it sounds rather crackly, a bit like an untuned radio. I want to play these files in Winamp, and have tried installing every codec I can think of. I've installed the offitial XviD codec, plus a few codec packs, but Winamp still will not play the audio correctly. Winamp used to play these files just fine, so I have no idea why the play in PowerDVD but not in Winamp. Thanks for any suggestions anyone can give me, as this is driving me insane!
