Manuals for Leadtek Winfast Video TV Tuner card
Hi1 I have these now scanned, if anyone's interested in a look then email me privately and I'll send them along. Playing MPG files
HI Everyone! Ok, as list members would probably know, I have a TV Tuner card and I'm enjoying it but I'm having problems with Winamp playing MPG files, Winamp will skip parts of the file and "close" unpredictably. Also sighted people have told me that the video stays still, from what I'm lead to believe the first picture shown from the video file on the screen stays put as the video playing progresses, has anyone had this sort of problem. Now other people from this list have told me that Windows Media Play has improved considerably so I thought I'd give it a look and I have to admit, its not bad but one question, can you direct audio from WMP to another device or sound card rather than the Windows default device? ** Dane Trethowan From Melton Victoria Australia mailto:Dane Trethowan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> phone +61 3 9005 8589 Fax/TTY +61 3 9743 7954 mobile/sms: +614 418 773 532 MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] skype: callto:grtdane12 ** Jonathan Mosen List Founder Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Microphone and Recorder Advice Wanted
Hi all, I want to purchase a good voice recorder, and some good stereo, possibly binaural microphones to go with it. The mics have to have clips to attach them to a shirt collar, glasses etc, and they need to have good sound quality. I want to make recordings that when I listen back to them the audio sounds just like it did when I was listening to it with my own ears. I do not, however, want to have to spend thousand's of dollars on the equipment. playing dvd's with windows media 11

I've set up wmp to be the default player for dvd media, and I've also made this the action the drive should perform when a dvd disc is inserted. wmp does open, but no sound is forthcoming. Re: playing dvd's with windows media 11
Hi Scott, Can you hear the audio when you play any other content in Windows Media Player? Like an MP3 file for instance. I have a similar problem, where video is playing on the screen but there is no audio. This happened when I upgraded to WMP11, and downgrading to WMP10 did not fix the issue. I use Winamp for playing media files though, and Power DVD to play DVD's, so if you cannot fix the problem there are 2 pieces of software that may be useful to you. PC not recognizing Muvo T-100
Hi people, I took advantage of the great price on the Creative Muvo T-100 but I'm off to an ominous start. Simply put, I cannot get my PC to recognize the unit. I plugged it into a USB port on the front of my PC, but I don't see it in My Computer or Windows Explorer. Using WMP 10, pressing the "sync" button results in a message about the device not being recognized or something close to that. My husband tried it in his PC running WMP 11 with the same result. I left it plugged into my PC overnight because I thought it might need a charge, but this didn't help. I really hope I don't have to return this puppy so I would appreciate suggestions. Re: PC not recognizing Muvo T-100
Hi Norma, Does your PC make the hardware connected sound when you connect the unit? And, did the unit come with any extra software or drivers on a CD? Hi James, I forgot to put that in my original message; I do not get the device connected indicator when I plug the Muvo into the PC. (My husband didn't get the sound either.) There was no CD with the Muvo, it was just the unit. Re: Microphone and Recorder Advice Wanted
James! The Edirol R-09 HR is a highly respected digital audio recorder. It's respected for the high quality stereo recordings it makes and respected for it's accessibility by blind users. It fits in your shirt pocket, has built-in stereo microphones, uses SD cards up to 32 Gigabyte in capacity. The retail price is $450 and I sell it for $359, includes shipping within the United States. I can't recommend microphones. I use a great pair of Radio Shack mics for binaural recording but they aren't made any longer. Jerry Chirp|Chirp|Chirp: It's the Bat, Chirping Bat .Com ! Hi James, it doesn't use a cable, it plugs directly into a USB port. Norma Jonathan Mosen List Founder Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: PC not recognizing Muvo T-100
Hi Norma, Ah OK. Well, it sounds like a unit issue, you may have to contact them and ask them about it. Or, you could try running a USB extention cable from the unit to the PC instead of connecting it directly. On Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 12:17 AM (GMT), Norma A. Re: PC not recognizing Muvo T-100
Norma, do you have an older Dell computer? I have one where the USB port is surrounded by plastic, and when you plug in a device it goes in vertically instead of my new computer that allows you to plug in devices from the front. the case on the Dell prohibits the muvo players from being able to completely slide into the port. you have to use an extension cable to get it to work! - Original Message - From: "James Scholes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 7:32 PM Subject: Re: PC not recognizing Muvo T-100 > Hi Norma, > Ah OK. Re: PC not recognizing Muvo T-100
Hi Gary, I understand about the front USB ports. I plugged the unit into my hub, just to check the unit, as they say not to use a hub to transfer files, etc. I had to press it in fairly hard, but the unit was recognized by my PC, and I am so glad it is not a problem with the Muvo itself. So tomorrow I'm off to Radio Shack for an extension cable. Thanks very much!
