Extending the recording time in Sound Recorder

2008-05-05 Thread DJ DOCTOR P
High List Members,
I would like to know, how do you extend the recording time in Sound Recorder?
I am asking because, I heard that Vista will let you record full length songs
from a cassette tape.
But in Windows XP, Sound recorder only records in increments of 60 seconds.
The question I'm really asking here is, how do you make Sound Recorder do this
in Windows XP?
Thanks in advance.
  John.

Hi all. I'm looking for a DAB radio that takes les than 4 AA batteries. I
have one that takes 6 of them and runs down after 5 hours of listening. Can

Hi John

simply load in sound recorder a wav file of approximately the same
length of your proposed recording.

making sure you are at the beginning of the audio file, simply record your new
wav file on top of it

hope i'm making sense.
sorry for any irregularities in the format of my mail as i'm writing
using my nokia phone.

And will you be able to record the whole song?

I think if it can be heard by the sound card, you can record it. but
please, sound recorder? that's like using a cheesey $20 recorder when
you could use something like Goldwave, or Audacity and get results
that are a thousand percent nicer!

Yes sure you can. Making sure line in is checked under recording and
with your cassette connected to the pc via audio cable and adjusting
the desired recording volume, you can hit ctrl r to start recording.

2008-05-05 Thread Doc
Yes, once you set the queue points open the edit menu and click queue points
then choose split. here you can point to where you want the tracks to be
saved, how they should be saved and what number the tracks should start
with. You can even give a general name for the tracks.

Just load a wave file of say 6 minutes and 36 seconds into sound recorder,
then making sure you are at the beginning of the file, hit record, recording
your new content over the old file. I believe this works, but I've never

Re: Extending the recording time in Sound Recorder

2008-05-05 Thread DJ DOCTOR P
High James,
Yes you can do that with an existing wave file.
But what I'm trying to do is, record a full length song from the line in of
my sound card.
But when I do this with Sound Recorder, it only records for 60 seconds.
How do I change this?
I am not only doing this with my MD's, but I am also trying to make copies
of my SACD's.
  John.

Re: DAB Radios

2008-05-05 Thread Saqib
Hi. DAB radios are digital radios. A normal radio would pick up stations
vior analog signals. A digital radio would pick up stations vior digital
transmission. You would get all the channels which are broadcasted on
satellite and cable. here. The sound is crystal clear with no interference.
Most of these radios have an option where you can switch to FM mode to
listen to local channels.
