tristan, sorry if I did not make myself clear. Adding Sapi 5 Voices to Control Panel Speech
Hi. I've been experimenting with IRTI's Eclipsewater, which facilitates converting DAISY files to audio. The application seems to default to the SAPI 5 voice in the Speech area of my XP control panel. For some reason, I only have MS's Sam there. I thought MS supplied a second voice with XP. In any event, I have AT&T Natural Voices Mike and Crystal elsewhere on my system. My question is how do I get the control panel to enable me to make either Mike or Crystal, or some other SAPI 5 voice, my system default. IRTI gives a link to download an MS file entitled MS SAPI 5. I've looked the file up on Google, but the MS Webpage that describes it doesn't answer my questions. I'm wondering if this very large file is what will give me more voice options in the control panel. I've been waiting for a return call from IRTI's tech support, but so far in vain. I'm sure the solution is familiar to many of you, and I'm hoping you can give me some clues. Help file not playing correctly.
Hello! I seem to have a problem with a file i have recordedwhich is playing correctly in booth audacity and goldwave but not in foobar2000. In foobar2000 it only plays in the left chanel. Though the file is a mono file so i really don't understand whats wrong. Maybe foobar can't handle mono correctly. /Anders. Re: Major winamp problems
Hi, I'm using winamp 551 full and I'm having no troubles, whatsoever. I don't use the library at all so problems there probably still exist, but for streaming radio, my music, podcasts that I've downloaded, etc, its been berry berry good to me. Try the latest version. Re: Scripts for the Zen stone?
Hi and I am not sure if there are more than two types of zenstone players. But I have the zenstone 1 gb for about $39. and it is a really neat item. I love it and it plays great. I like it because it is not menu driven and does a nice easy job. Now I went out and bought the zenstone+ which is a 2gb player storage unit and wow, it is way more complicated. But, I did not even know this but found out by accident that it records and i accidently recorded a good half hour of something and couldn't figure out how the heck it got onto my system. My daughter played around with it, and she tells me that this thing rrecords also. I then found it to have a am fm radio and after messing with it for a while, I did fvigure it out to some degree. It was only $54 for 2gb and so far I put at least a hundfred audio articles, 2 full length books, a ton of songs and some muic and still got a lot of room. It has a tiny menu which does me no good. I was going to return it but I will goof with it for another few days and see if I can master it. But the zenstone 1gb is excellent, tops and I would recommend it. In fact I am going to load up a few of them with my pod casts, a few of my books and send the unit to Australia as a fift to some of my friends. They can download whatever articles they want onto their coms and still enjoy the unit. That is it from MMM Thank and if anyone has some info on the zenstone+ please let me know and save me a ton of hassles.
