Subject: can't select correct drive to burn with using roxio6 Creator
Classic

I am using Roxio 6, Creator Classic, with XP Home and JAWS5.1.
I have used this program for more than 3 years without any problem, but I
always used drive D, the CD drive to burn with.
By default, it is set for the D drive, which now is having problems, and I
want it to be the external drive G. When in Creator Classic, I choose drive
properties and I can see my g drive, but when I go back to burn, drive D is
selected and I can't find a way of stopping this.
Please help, thank you.

Hi,
After much playing around, and a little sighted help, I got Nero working

This computer, which is three years old, came with Nero 5 on it. Are there
more accessible Nero programs with Window-eyes out there?
Thanks.

I've sold the Q-Bass-U to two blind people. One likes them so much that
they ordered two more pair. This person says that they wear them constantly
now. And that they are great for high quality listening and communicating with
services such as Skype. I sell them for $149, includes shipping within the
United States, add $35.00 for shipments outside the United States.

Re: RadioTime

2007-12-20 Thread Mike Pietruk

Earlier in the week I posted a reply in this thread comparing RadioTime
and Replay AV.
Sometimes, a feature in an automated program can also serve as a
hindrance.
Here is a real world illustration.
One of the program's features is that Radiotime can find what it believes
is the best feed for a program at a given time and, if it believes, there
is a problem with the feed, originally scheduled, it turns to an alternate.
Sounds real good in theory, right?
Well, last Sunday, RT was scheduled to record 2 hours from WJR Detroit
from 12 noon to 2 pm Eastern.
It is recording Glenn Haege's local detroit version of his national "Ask
the Handyman Program".
Well the feed begins and as the intro for Glenn is just about to begin,
out of nowhere the program switches to a church service.
Very curious, indeed.
How do you explain this? Well, it turns out that the service was on a
station in Port Angeles, WA which, according to the listed schedule in
Radiotime's database, supposedly carries the
nationally syndicated version of that show.
So, judge for yourself whether this should be deemed a program advantage
or detriment.
Fortunately, for me, as Glenn was doing a 3 hour instead of 2 hour show
that day, I also scheduled a recording for that in RAV so I didn't lose
anything.
Interesting how some of the wonders of technology sometimes overdo their
task.

Radiotime is recording software. I am beta testing RedButton tuner 2.937
build for accessibility with JAWS 9. I have direct communications with the
developer of RedButton. He's in Russia.

You can definitely use the web based interface to schedule your recordings.
They have an excellent radio guide. Ask Mike P. and I agree with him.

If any of you use this program please post the bugs you may have on this
list so I can forward them to the developer.

They are listening to me and are interested in improving the software. The
developer told me he now understands the unlabeled graphics and to use alt
tags and tags after I explained it to him via email.

In January you will be able to see my Blind Radiotime blog and join my
mailing list to learn and discuss Radiotime RedButton.

You can get scripts from www.dancingdots.com that work with version 3.0 of

Scripts to work with V 5 will probably be out in 2008 some time.
4.0 does not work.

2 week free trial; about $30 or so for the full-blown version thereafter.
Personally, if I had to choose between Replay AV and RedButton, and I

WMA downloads

2007-12-20 Thread G. McFarlane
Hi
I like using Itunes to buy music but I've recently re-ripped my collection to
lossles wma files. I would like to try buying wma's from the Windows media
player store and all its substores. I get lost with all the providers and what
seems to me a complex system. Can anyone advise me how to use the windows media
player store and direct to an accessible wide ranging set of downloads on a
good site?
Thanks.

If you like older tunes and artists on independent labels try,
www.emusic.com
The sight's accessible, the tunes are cheap 40 or 50 cents the last I knew
and they always have samples.
