recording light in the edirol r09
I heard that in new releases of the firmware you can shut off the recording light in the edirol r09. Is this true? and How is it done? I saw it on the edirol page so you must be able to do this. How? Pity they have not kept the program as accessible as it has been up to now. - Original Message - From: Brian Hartgen To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Sunday, September 09, 2007 3:49 PM Subject: Re: You Send It Plug In for Replay AV query You cannot send a file that way because the Browse Button or Add File buttons I understand are not labelled. The only way of sending a file following recording is to specify it within Replay itself, there is a podcast on this. As soon as I get some sighted assistance on this I will see if there is a way of getting that working in the scripts so we don't have to wait for these people to label it. HI does that work for DVD's that are copy right protected like ones with TV shows on them and movies that you have purchased in a store? Or is that just for copying do d's that you get from friends and the like that aren't copyright protected? Can you explain that steps that you will need to use if this does work with copyright protected DVD's and where can I get DVD shrink from? Or can you send it along to me to my a-mail address. Re: TV tuner cards:
As I said, I got it from Frye's at one of those after Thanksgiving Day or after Christmas Day sales. I think it cost $20 after rebate, although it might have been free after rebate. Unfortunately, I don't see a model number on the unit itself. Sorry I don't have more information, but my point was that TV tuners on a USB dongle do exist. The new YSI plugin Jaws Scripts
The new scripts work within Replay AV 8.21. I tested this and was able to browse for a file and send it off to 4 email addresses. I also wrote the optional message within this plugin. RE: Recording in Vista
Hi Samuel, this is absolutely not the case. I use Sound Forge and Studio Recorder to record all kinds of things in Windows Vista, and they work very well. Some sound card drivers are apparently better than others, but you get that with new operating systems until things sort themselves out. Accessible FM transmitters
Hi all, I'm looking for a blind friendly FM transmitter that will work well with PC, stereo, mp3 player, etc. It also needs to be able to broadcast 150+ feet in a household environment. This is for use in the USA, so the broadcasting frequencies need to end in odd numbers. I also would like the transmitter to have multiple power supply options like car adapter, AC adapter, batteries, even USB. I've seen one called MobileBlackBox v5000 fm transmitter, but it seems to be out of stock and I don't know how easy it is to use. Also, I don't know if it lives up to the range it claims. I know the one you can buy at Radio Shack for about $30 isn't worth 2 cents. Well, thanks in advance for your input and advise. Jason No virus found in this outgoing message.
