Latest version of winamp
Hey guys, I need your help. The winamp sight is absolutely horrible, and it keeps telling me I need a critical update. When I load winamp, it says it wants to update it, but there is no way to click on anything with jaws. Any ideas? When I do control tab, it says winamp 5.32 unavailable. Any secrets on navigating the winamp sight for the latest version? When I click on download, a download box doesn't come up. Re: A Rockbox Voice file creation under Cigwin question.
Okay Jim, Are you actually typing that? With the period in front of it which it looks like you have two periods which should only be one period. So there might be a mistake I will right it out for you and please try the command this way. ./tools/configure What you are actually doing on this step now that I see it Jim is okay the script you need to run is under the Tools subdirectory that's what the /tools is and the /configure is actually the command or script you are running. The period in this case means a hidden file or folder. Re: More Bigger CD Storage
Houdy John, Here's a site that has information on 99-minute CD'S. It's CD media world and the link is http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_cd-r99.shtml There are some caveats you have to be aware of with this type of CD Though and the most important of them is these CD-R99 media do not comply to the CD Red-Book standard. If you experienced problems using CD-R80 media then forget about CD-R99 media as it will not work at all! Check out the site for all the rest of the details. Hi, might I suggest, you first of all before doing anything typing `ls -A' Note the cap a, This will give you a list of all directories hidden and otherwise. If you extracted the source from the archive properly there should already be a configure script with it. Hth. Btw, write me off list and we'll see if we can't get this beast working fo ryou. Switch Sound File converter
Hello all. I am new to the list. I have a question concerning Switch Plus Sound File Converter. I have been using this program very successfully for some time now, and recently have been having this problem with it. When I convert a group of files, the output file is only a small portion of the entire file, but the rest of the files will be the whole file. This has happened several times. Why would some of the files be converted in their entirety, and some files only partially? I am converting ogg to MP3, by the way.Any help will be appreciated! Smile! RE: free reverb
Hello: The following is from the FreeVerb_DirectX.zip Readme file: HOW TO USE FREEVERB --- If you are updating a previous installation, just copy the contents of the FreeverbX folder over the contents of your previous FreeverbX folder. If this is your first installation of FreeverbX then, after unzipping freeverbx.zip, move the "FreeverbX" folder to a place where you will ALWAYS keep it, and then double click on one of the two "activate" files, depending on what system you have. FreeverbX should then be available to your favourite DirectX enabled audio applications. Do not move the FreeverbX folder after installation. "Activate" assumes that windows is installed in C:\ if this is not the case then edit the . Future versions will have a more friendly installer. I just haven't learnt how to use InstallShield yet. Sorry. Once you have loaded up Freeverb into your audio software, then simply use "Room size" to get the size of the room you want, and use the "Damping" control to get the softness of sound that you require. The "Mix" controls the blend between original and effected sound. Re: zenstone
For DRM WMA files you have to use something like the Overdrive transfer tool or Windows Media Player. This is because license information needs to accompany the files so the player knows it is alright to play them. Otherwise, the files are unplayable. Converting .asf to .mp3
I am currently using Winamp 5.35 as my primary player for .asf (a s f) file listening. Currently, I am using MP3 Direct Cut for the listening and editing of mp3 files. Occasionally, I need to do minor editing or splitting of an .asf file. So, here is my question: can this be done with Winamp 5.35 or, alternatively, how can I convert that .asf file into a .mp3 file which I can then cut in MP3 Directcut. Winamp and pacemaker plug in
Hi all, I'm curious, I'm currently running the older Winamp 2.9x, and I also use the pacemaker plug-in quite frequently. If I upgrade to the newest version of Winamp, will I still be able to use this plug in which increases the speed of the audio playback? Does the newest Winamp 5.x have a built-in manner of increasing the speed at which files are played? Thanks, Matthew Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: Converting .asf to .mp3
High Mike, I use an audio file converter that's called DBPOWERAMP. You can convert just about any file with this software. I've converted an asf file to MP3 just so that I can burn it on to an audio CD. But the only catch22 here is, you have to buy the MP2 Lame decoder lisence to do this. Happy luck!
