editing unacceptable content out of songs?
Hi all, if you have uncensored versions of songs which have questionable content in their vocal tracks, is there any way that I could edit out that content with SoundForge or CakeWalk Sonar? James As so far you haven't gotten any helpful answers, let's see if we can figure something out. (1) Have you tried these links on a pc other than the one your girlfriend is using? If not, that's step 1. (2) Has your girlfriend attempted listening to these stations via other links than those supplied by the Bill Sparks website? Pass on a few of the stations she is having problems with, and I (or someone else here) can try them. Re: editing unacceptable content out of songs?
Although it's not an option in the menus, you can put bleep sounds in with Sound Forge. It's just a bit involved, but once you get the hang of it, it takes a few seconds. Is this what you wanted, bleeps, or something else? If you want the instructions, then let me know. Thanks a lot. Hi Dan Yep, it's possible to do that, but you might like to look around the net for radio edits or clean versions of the songs you want to play. They're perfectly acceptable to use. Re: billsparks and windows media
Hello James, I haven't been following this thread so I don't know exactly what's been written before. When you try the links are you getting a dialog box asking if you want to save or open the links? If so, I had a similar problem with a new computer recently. When the dialog box comes up press the Open button. Windows Media Player should come up with a dialog box asking you to agree with their license agreement. Accept the license agreement and answer any additional questions and either the link will begin playing or you'll be sent back to the Bill Sparks web site. If so, click the link again to see if Windows Media Player will begin playing the content. Hope this helps. Making A Sound Scheme Using Sound Recorder
High List Members, I just wanted to take a few moments to tell you how to make a sound scheme using Sound Recorder. First, I will start by telling you that I don't remember how to do this in operating systems that came out before Windows XP, so I will start here with Windows XP. 1. Hit the windows key to go in to the start menu. If you are a JAWS user, you will hear JAWS say, "program updates." 2. Hit the letter p, and you will hear JAWS say, "program submenu." 3. Hit inter and you will hear Jaws say, "accessory submenu. Hit the letter a and you will hear JAWS say,"entertainment menu,a Sound Recorder, s. 4. Hit inter, and Sound Recorder will open for you. Here are the key strokes for operating Sound Recorder. 5. Control r starts the recording prosses. 6. Control s stops it. 7. Control p plays it back, but hitting control p again poses it. Control p rezooms the play back. There are two ways that you can perform this next step. Here is one way. Go in to the file menu by hitting the alt key. Skrol down to whare it says save as, and het inter. At this point, you can type the name of your scheme, call it whatever you wish to call it. You can eather save it to my documents, or you can save it in to a folder in my documents. Another way you can save your scheme, is to alt f4 out of Sound Recorder. You will hear JAWS say, "Sound Recorder dialog. Do you want to save this file?" Hit the letter y for yes. You will hear Jaws say, "file name edit." Type the name of your scheme and hit inter and it will be saved to my documents. But remember, you don't need to type .wav at the end of your scheme name. Windows will do that for you. I hope these instrucktions helps those of you who want to make your own windows sound schemes. My best regards to you all! Re: editing unacceptable content out of songs?
Hello, there's a command called paste special in Sound Forge. An easier and more exact way to bleep out content without possibly losing your place, is to use the synthesis menu, simple tone, then five-second tone. Get a new data window for that, select all, and then go back to the project you're working on. Go to the first instance of bleeping, select the swearing section with I and O, then go to edit, then to paste special, and then hit overwrite. Never mind that the thing you've copied to the clipboard is a five-second tone. It will only take as much of the tone as it needs to fill your selection. I know it sounds detailed, but once you get that tone copied, it goes by really fast, especially with keystrokes. Alt E, S, then O. Go to the next section, select data with I and O, then repeat the keystrokes. I hope this helps you with future projects. Thanks a lot. Re: question about creating a windows sound scheme
High Doc, I told her how to package them. When I got ready to tell her how to make her own sound scheme, that's when my phone ringed. But here is how you can make your own sound scheme. You can use a program that already comes with windows. This program is called Sound Recorder. You can use this to make a recording of your voice or a sound clip from a tape player and or cd player that can be connected to your sound card. Sound Recorder will record all of your schemes in the .wav format wich is the format that they need to be in in order for them to work. If the scheme is in any other format then .wav, it won't work. But however, they can be converted to .wav. There are lots of software out there that will help you do this. My best regards to you all! - Original Message - From: "Doc" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. High Sara, It doesn't work that way. The schemes aren't peaces of software, they are just sound or if you will, audio files. I bought sound taxi to do what your asking about. It's only fifteen dollars. It's not real accessible but after playing with it I've figured out how to use it with jaws.
