High List Members,
I just wanted to take a few moments to tell you how to make a sound scheme
using Sound Recorder.
First, I will start by telling you that I don't remember how to do this in
operating systems that came out before Windows XP, so I will start here with
Windows XP.
1. Hit the windows key to go in to the start menu.
If you are a JAWS user, you will hear JAWS say, "program updates."
2. Hit the letter p, and you will hear JAWS say, "program submenu."
3. Hit inter and you will hear Jaws say, "accessory submenu.
Hit the letter a and you will hear JAWS say,"entertainment menu,a Sound
Recorder, s.
4. Hit inter, and Sound Recorder will open for you.
Here are the key strokes for operating Sound Recorder.
5. Control r starts the recording prosses.
6. Control s stops it.
7. Control p plays it back, but hitting control p again poses it.
Control p rezooms the play back.
There are two ways that you can perform this next step.
Here is one way.
Go in to the file menu by hitting the alt key.
Skrol down to whare it says save as, and het inter.
At this point, you can type the name of your scheme, call it whatever you wish
to call it.
You can eather save it to my documents, or you can save it in to a folder in my
documents.
Another way you can save your scheme, is to alt f4 out of Sound Recorder.
You will hear JAWS say, "Sound Recorder dialog.
Do you want to save this file?"
Hit the letter y for yes.
You will hear Jaws say, "file name edit."
Type the name of your scheme and hit inter and it will be saved to my documents.
But remember, you don't need to type .wav at the end of your scheme name.
Windows will do that for you.
I hope these instrucktions helps those of you who want to make your own windows
sound schemes.
My best regards to you all!
