HI Peter, Well it's a single person who has made this program poikanen from finland, and he is a very nice and polite person to speak to, so just go ahead and write him a friendly letter about this. Replay A/V query
I'm finding that conversion of "rm" or "asf" files to mp3 is taking several minutes (up to eight), and occasionally fails. These files are only one hour or about 20 meg in size. The problem persists even with latest versions of 8.08 and Replay Converter 2.75. Anyone else's experience and suggestions would be appreciated. Olympus DS50 Playback Speed
Hello, If anyone on the list has an Olympus DS50, I'd be grateful if you could answer the following questions for me. I have heard that you can alter the playback speed of files on the DS50, increasing the speed to a maximum of 1.5 times. Does this apply to MP3 files you copy to the player as well as to WMA files which you record on the player itself? I have a WS-320M, and on that player you can only increase the speed of WMA files which were recorded on the player, but not of MP3's. If it is possible to speed up the playback of MP3's, do they still play in stereo once they are speeded up? On the Ws-320M, there is the unfortunate side-effect that speeding up WMA stereo files results in the playback being switched to mono. Thanks for any help, Caroline. RE: mounting the ear mounted mics not on ears
I can sympathise with your problem. The problem with ear mounted mics is that any movement of the head is bound to cause a shift in the stereo field. Having said that, you won't get a good recording with them placed under a seat. Why not just use a good stereo mic? Alternatively, you could build a head baffle. I made one several years ago which worked extremely well, here's how: 1.Find an old 78rpm vinyl. 2.Cut two circles of velvet curtain into circles the same size as the record. 3.Glue the curtain material to the vinyl, one circle on each side fluffy side out. 4.Get a piece of quarter inch dowel about a foot long. 5.Use a drill to increase the size of the hole in the centre of the vinyl. 6.Push the dowel through the hole, so that there is about sizx inches each side. 7.Use bluetack to attach the mics to the ends of the dowel. 8.Cut a slot into a small block of wood, and insert the vinyl. This acts as a stand. This may seem a bit complicated, and if you were in england, I'd make one for you. It works very well. Blindcooltech feed
My program seems to have lost the feed for this. I tried going into ie, and setting it up again, but it didn't seem to want to tell me the feed address, and said somethng about setting it up so that pods downloaded into my favourites. This doesn't seem to have worked. Any help deeply appreciated, Dave. -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 3619 spam emails to date. Re: mounting the ear mounted mics not on ears
Why not get someone with a table saw or router to cut a ten inch circle with a hole in the center from a piece of plywood. this would even be heavier than the record, and you could probably put a base of some kind underneath it to hold the thing stable. - Original Message - From: "David Reynolds" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'PC audio discussion list. Re: mounting the ear mounted mics not on ears
Well someone suggested a cap to place the mics on each side of it but these are gooseneck mics that are tiny. I can't use a stereo mic because the thing would be to big and I have to place it under a seat so no one trips over it. It's my friend who is probably going to be recording this fror me and I want to make things as easy as possible for this person. Thanks. > I can sympathise with your problem. Re: mounting the ear mounted mics not on ears
to bad you can't buy a fake head, with ears that will fit the mics, from the dollar store and place that under your chair and a bag or something in front of it so no one will get spooked. that'd be a good trick. Listers, I've never heard of this one. Roxio digital media plus? This CD came with my new computer, but can it be used with Jaws? Olympus ds-50 in canada?
I'm trying to find a dealer in Canada for the Olympus ds-50 accessible MP3 voice recorder. I've Googled all over and can't find one. Couple stores had ds-40 and ds-30 but not ds-50. I wonder where I can get a good deal in Canada. I may have to order from the US but I prefer not to.
