nero problem

2007-02-21 Thread brian parker
Hi list, i have a strange problem using nero to burn discs and dvds.
up until a few days ago, i was managing this perfectly. now, i am
failing, and am getting a message, saying, data source too slow. can
anyone help me with this. everything on my computer seems to be
working normally. that is, nothing seems to be running slow. is there
something i can do, to speed up the data source. it is coming from a
folder on my c drive, which has 131 gygabytes of free space. brian.

the mad plug in

2007-02-21 Thread Wollner
Hi I have the mad plug in installed and now it says that it is running cause
the box is checked for it to be running. So how do I then test it to see if
it is infact doing what it is installed to do? And how then do I get rid of
the stuff that I am supposed to so I can make this plug in work the way it
is supposed to? Also how do I then lin the equalizer to this as suggested
so that I will all run nicely on my system also? Thanks and I am looking
forward to any assistance that I may geit this this.

Re: DJ Help Needed

2007-02-21 Thread Richard Claypool
In order to be able use your system with voice over, and running any sort of
voip system, you'll either need 2 soundcards or a soundcard and a hardware
bassed synthesizer.

You could still broadcast, but it won't ghave cross fades, and you won't be
able to do voiceovers.

Re: the mad plug in

2007-02-21 Thread Larry Higgins
Casey,

Before you do anything, go to the general preferences tab in Winamp,
and tab to the playback options. on that page, tab to the checkbox
that says "allow 24 bit audio" and check it. I don't think it will be
necessary to change any of the other options in that box, but then
again, I'm not familiar with your personal settings. However, in my
case, I think most of mine are set to the defaults, and they present
no problems.

Next you will need to open the configuration settings in the mad
plugin, and in the general settings tab, make sure the box for
enabling the plugin is checked.
Next tab to the decoder options box, and tab to the Checkbox that
says 24 bit resolution and check that.

The third option, that of linking equalization to Winamp may or may
not be in your version of the plugin. I don't recall it being in the
first edition of the plugin, but I could be wrong. Anyway, It didn't
seem to matter if I didn't with that edition, but if it is available,
check the link eq to Winamp option under the output tab.

The final thing is to either delete, but a more practical option
would to simply rename the in_mp3.dll file before opening Winamp with
the mad plugin.

If you would like the latest beta, I can send it to you. If you need
any further help, let me know, and we can exchange phone numbers privately.

Good luck

MP3 Direct Cut

2007-02-21 Thread Norma A. Boge-Conyers
Hi, I told someone about MP3 Direct Cut but she is having problems
with the accessibility of the current version. She states that it is
quite graphical in nature. So, is there a previous version which
works better with Jaws? Should scripts be used, and, if so, where
can one obtain them? Any other tips to get a beginning user started
would be most welcome. Thanks, Norma

2007-02-21 Thread Larry Higgins
Bobcat,

Actually, it does. However, I think people are getting a previous
release that doesn't contain the settings that I mentioned in previous posts.

I think I'll upload the latest version to Sendspace, and provide the
list with the URL for downloading. Otherwise everyone will just end
up confused and frustrated.

I downloaded this latest release from an ftp site a few months ago,
and now can't remember from where. The interesting thing about this
decoder is that it has always been in beta, but hasn't been released
out of beta, at least not to my knowledge.

I downloaded what I thought might be the latest version from the site
mentioned in the in_mad.txt documentation file, but that version was
outdated. anyway, I'll try to have it upon Sendspace within a half an
hour or so, and let everybody know when it's done.

Thanks everybody for your patients,

Larry

Heck, I wouldn't go to all this trouble if I didn't think it was worth it .

I found

The mad plugin uploaded to sendspace

2007-02-21 Thread Larry Higgins
OK, all who are interested. Below is the link to the zipped file
containing the essential files for making use of the mad plugin. That
is, the in_mad.dll file, along with a file called in_mad.txt which
contains basic instructions for setting it up.

As you know I gave specific instructions as they pertain to my
personal system, so any adjustments outside these instructions as
given in the text file are entirely up to you.

Hope you like it as much as I do. If not, just throw it away and
forget about it.

Enjoy,

Larry
