Hi: I am too much of a novis about this to give you a correct answer!! I only know that when I have Juice running Itunes always pops up. When I try to close ITunes, it says that another program is using the scripts; I know from info from this list the old version of IPod needs to be uninstalled before installing Juice. Hi, Reed. 0 stations in the winamp library
Hi all, I have tried writing the winamp list, and thus far, have gotten no satisfactory response to this problem, and that is, that it seems ever since version 5.11, or what ever version where they fixed the bug with the winamp playlist editor, I can't get the library to search, even though I go to media library, and shift tab to the tab control, and locate the on line media tab, and examine the six items which are all checked, and I even set the number of stations to 1 in the modify preferences edit box, despite the nullsoft server cap of 1000 stations, and still, I can't get the library to search, I get a custom control, and nothing else, until I alt tab, and back again, only to realyze it hadn't searched for anything, and I even reinstalled version 5.112, but no go, and I even changed the number of stations to 1000, and I even disabled kerio personal firewall, thinking that might be the problem, but no, and so I'm frustrated as to why the media library isn't searching for stations. I wonder if comcast is blocking a o l ports, or something like that, though I doubt it, but I've done everything I know to do, and still, ever since 5.11, I can't get the library to search, and I wonder if there are any ideas people have, this with winamp 5.112, windows 98 se, window-eyes 5.5 192 megs of ram, and a 400 megs processor, and thanks in advance. Re: 0 stations in the winamp library
The Winamp library is there and it is visible but it is a bit trickier to find.By default shoutcast radio has a preset number of streams set at 500The type of connection, genre, plus all 500 stations are there, just as before. I have not tried to increase the number of streams in this latest download. The tree structure though isn't as intuitive as in the earlier versions. For a while with 5.1, I believe, I also thought the library was invisible. - Original Message - From: "TJ Olsen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Re: Listening while recording with GoldWave
Hi. The trick to monitoring a recording is to go into playback properties for your volume control, find the line in control, and unmute it by clicking the box with the space bar. Then you'll hear whatever is going into your line in, and you can set the playback volume independent of the recording volume. Re: Winamp 5.8
Hi, Gary, open up preferences with control p, and then, go to the top of the tree-view with the home key to be safe, then press the letter m until you hear winamp media library, then, shift tab, and you'll find a four page tab control, it may be more or less in your version, but right arrow over to on line media, and tab to a button that says modify preferences, and press the space bar on this, and change it to what ever you'd like though a o l has put a cap on their servers, so you'll only get about 1000 stations, so I would change it to 1000, then tab to the close button, and then the next time you launch the library with alt l, it should try and fetch the thousand stations. unmute the play back of the line in and you can then hear what you are recording. also you might want to go into the control propetries by f 11 and control tab to recording and make the recording unbounded to make it easier to work with - Original Message - From: "Reed Poynter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'PC Audio'" Sent: Monday, November 21, 2005 6:49 PM Subject: Listening while recording >I have fixed my line-in problem. Also can I throw a long list of wav files at it and convert them to ogg vorbis files? That's really what I'm looking for. Something that will do batch conversion or convert one file if needed. Re: mp3 player question
try the PNY vibe. Nobody really knows about it, or so I know. I am, apparently, the only one who owns one . Most people like iriver, too, but if your looking for a desent MP3 player, which is accesible, try this one. It comes with no software, it is like a removable disk on your computer. It runns on one tripple a battery for approximately 15 hours, and has a line-in jack for easy stario (or whatever has a headphone jack) to your mp3 player connection. Cables are all there, and its a very sturdy device. Hopefully you'll take this advice into concideration when buying your player. best, and good luck, Tyler - Original Message - From: "Denny Daughters" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list.
