game day audio and WE
Some of you want to know how you can move through the game archives fast. This will only work if you have realplayer on your system. I don't use JFW, but maybe someone can translate from WE to JFW. The first thing you need to do is use the realplayer plug-in. To do this, select a game you want to listen to and start the stream. When you are in the media player window and you hear the stream start, hit the bottom right key on the numpad. Use the insert-7 keys on the numpad to move backward through the elements. Keep going backwards until you hear preferences. Click on that with the left mouse key. A window should pop up containing the radio buttons that don't speak any labels. Choose the first one and then hit enter on it. Tab down to the save selection button and hit the spacebar. You should only have to do this part once. After you hit the space bar you'll find yourself back in the media player window listening to the stream. Hit the bottom right key and move backward through the elements again with the insert-7 keys on the numpad. This time go past preferences. When you hear that your on the player buttons you need to find the play button. When you find it hit the context key and use your down arrow to select play in realplayer. Then you can get into the realplayer window and navigate with the ctrl-left and right arrows or the ctrl-shift left and right arrows. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
can't convert ogg to mp3 in Goldwave
I can normally convert OGG to MP3 using the batch processing in Goldwave. However there have been a couple of OGG files that I've tried to convert that give me an error message "2 or more streams are incompatible". When I used Deep Pro music converter the MP3 file plays at twice the speed? Any suggestions? Fw: Sound Forge 8 Manual
Hi Folks: I thought that I would send you a copy of an email that I received concerning my effort to obtain an accessible version of the Sound Forge 8 manual. The days of the unlocked version of the manuals are numbered; however, they are making a genuine effort to provide an accessible manual while still protecting there own interests. I did respond to this email and included the accessibility web page from Adobe.com. The problem is, that even if one could save the file as a text file, reading problems would still abound. The real issue is, whether or not they have created an accessible Adobe document: not whether or not they are using Adobe. The truth is that, if they create a proper tagged document, the adobe reader will be the best method by far for reading the document. To save that document as a text file would present major reading challenges, to say the least. Thanks all over the place gang. - Original Message - From: "Pfeiffer, Stephanie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2005 11:31 AM Subject: Sound Forge 8 Manual Hi Jim! I got your name and contact information from Theresa Carlson in our Technical Support department. She indicated that you've had trouble in the past with the security on our PDF manuals and had inquired about the possibility of obtaining an unlocked manual for Sound Forge 8. We recently began using Adobe Acrobat 6 to create our PDF documents, and one of the features of this version supposedly allows us to secure the manuals as we have in the past, but allow screen reader access at the same time. The first manual to use these settings was Sound Forge 8. We tried to find someone to test these settings for us prior to the release, but weren't able to do so, unfortunately. Theresa mentioned that you might be willing to assist us in testing out these settings and finding something that will work. Have you tried the Sound Forge 8 manual and found that it doesn't work with your screen reader? Specifically, the Acrobat setting in question is supposed to allow text access for screen readers. Could you let me know what kind of issues you're seeing? Thanks so much for your help on this. Our goal is to get these settings straightened out so our manuals automatically allow screen reader access without users having to specifically request a new PDF. a problem with line in from my stereo, or would it be with line out?
Hi listers, I haven't done a great deal of this, so please bear with me. I am trying to record from my old Kinwood stereo receiver with Total Recorder, which doesn't even inter into the picture at this point. To begin with, I haven't really tried recording with TR using my stereo up to now, because of a sound problem when I have the patch cord connect to my sbAudigy card from the line out on the stereo to the line in jack on the sound card. When I have the two connected, the sound goes down in volume, and also sounds as if there is a impedance mismatch or something of that nature. I really don't think this is the case because I don't have this problem when listening to audio coming through my computer, including Eloquence, as well as Winamp, into the stereo. Of course, I hear a low volume of audio coming from the stereo output when switching from source to monitor on the stereo, I mean all through the entire set of positions. If this isn't making a great deal of since, you know just how little experience I've had recording from this receiver. I am able to record just fine from a boom box with no real problem, but would like to be able to record things from XM through my stereo without having to go through an FM receiver. I do listen to my XM Radio through the Roady 2 which is running through my receiver. Any ideas? thanks very much in advance, Larry ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Then the colon (:) should be correct. Do you happen to have a copy of gold wave? Does anybody know if they plan to do something about that horrible audio quality? It's better than nothing, but not much. If nfl.com can do decent quality, why can't mlb.com do it? - Original Message - From: "Tim Grady" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. I believe Gold WAve will grab the audio from these, and you can then save it in whatever format you like.
