Hello, this is fine since I have one already, but if they fail to update us with the newest channels, then this will be a problem. If things become any different, to where I can't enjoy the service, I will discontinue it. I will not do this out of anger at XM, for whom I have none, but I will simply not be able to tell what I'm listening to, and that's important, as I listen to a lot of music which is unfamiliar, and would like to buy it if I enjoy it. Nero Quick Up & Running
Good Morning, All: I've just loaded Nero 6.0 on my windows XP with JAWS. I am busy reading through the Help files and have received quite an extensive email from John Wilson (thank you John). I have this weekend (or at least a little time between hurricanes here in Miami) and need to learn how to burn audio cds quick and dirty. I've some friends coming into town next weekend and would like to present them with a few cds to take back home. Anyone out there willing to correspond directly, or speak via phone to get me up and running quickly? I know everyone would like to ask for this assistance, but here I am doing so. Hi, Yes and it's pretty bad they can't play asf files or asx files, so every time you reinstall winamp you'll have to deselect this type and letting windows mediaplayer do the job. Subject: Re: Winamp Help, Please Hi, Cindy, winamp is a very non-standard application, so here's what to do. First, start winamp, and then press control p for preferences, and press the home key to get you to the top of the tree-view, and if it is closed, expand it with the right arrow. Once that has been expanded, arrow down to file types, and then tab to the button that says all, and press the space bar on this, but this should have been done by default, when winamp was installed. You can go down the list of file types, and press the space bar to unselect that file type, or association from being played, such as .mp3. Hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, let us know. Oh, it sounds like you have the modern skin support selected, so, what you need to do is while in preferences, with the tree-view expanded, press the letter s for skins, upon which, you may have to shift tab back to the tree-view, but if it says modern skin support, then arrow down to classic skin, and then tab to the close button, and press the space bar, which I forgot to mention as the final step regarding file types. Winamp is very non-standard, in that you usually see a tree-view, and a list-view side by side, but they have tree-views next to tab controls, or they're next to dialog boxes, so don't let that frighten you. I hadn't heard the main menu segments on configuring winamp, but when they become available, I think I'll give them a listen, because even I need refreshing, and I've been using winamp for about 4 years now. Re: Nero Quick Up & Running
hi George, I had been a happy user of e z c d creator, but once I tried nero 6.0, I decided to switch, and I use nero exclusively, now. Here's a hint, once the program is fired up I use the window-eyes find command and look for audio. I then click on that, and the program then presents you your c: drive. You can then use tab and arrow keys to get where you'd like to be. When you navigate to a song you'd like to include in you cd, press alt-1 which will put it in the cd layout. When you've included all the tunes you'd like, press alt-r and you'll be presented with the list of things to do, among them, burn copy, burn compilation, choose the cd burner, etc. Choose burn compilation, and follow the dialog. Oh yeah, once you've hit the audio button in the beginning of the process, you'll need to tab through the dialog, but finally, when you've done all of that, just press enter or spacebar on the new button. Nero is very good and I've never made a coaster since I started using it, last spring. If you've any more questions, feel free to write. If things get too sticky, I'll send you my number and you can give me a call, perhaps late this afternoon, or tomorrow afternoon. My schedule for the weekend is still evolving, so I can't be more specific with times, but rest assured, your friends will get their cd's. Burning an audio DVD?
Hello. I have a question regarding creation of a audio DVD playable in my DVD player. Is such a thing possible? I created a rather large PCM file (4.16 GB) using Total Recorder 4.5 Pro and Winamp 5.05 Pro. I wish to break this .WAV file into several smaller tracks and burn it to a DVD+R disk in a format that would make it playable in my DVD player. Tried a program called Audio DVD Creator, but the output audio files did not play. If this can be done, please share the software I will need and steps. Thanks. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: Burning an audio DVD?
Ok. I wanted to keep the quality of the DVD audio as cloase to high as possible. That's why I recorded in PCM 44.1 16 format in Total Recorder Pro 4.5. All I really want is a program that will take that .WAV file and convert it to a DVD recognizable format for burning. 6 hours of high quality music in exchange for 10 hours of almost high quality music is a trade off I will take. Again, this Audio DVD Creator program doesn't seem to work at all. By the way, do you know of a good way of breaking a large 4.16 GB file down into smaller chunks? I will try the MP3 way, but only if I can break this monsterous .WAV file down to about 30 smaller parts. I never tried working with a file that large. you may try GoldWave or SoundForge to split it. the split will work best if there are blank pauses between the music. if you convert to mp3, try 144/192kbs - Original Message - From: "K. Re: nfl field pass problem.
If you have Windows SP2, it could be blocking a port, not allowing the Real player to work. SP2 tells you about this in a message but sometimes JFW and perhaps WindowEyes doesn't anounce it. Look at the top of your screen with your mouse keys and you may see this message and some buttons to deal with it. Re: unlimited music downloads?
Be careful! I also joined a music/movie free download site and paid my I think it was 40 bucks only to find that after I had done so, there was some rather subtle warnings in their info icon that warned subtlety I said, that they weren't responsible for this and that 'til it ended up that I read between the lines realizing that they were covering their butts, re copyright. I spent that money and will not, obviously, do the same thing re committing myself again. Of cores, you'll have to be the judge of that right? Re: nfl field pass problem.
If you're signed into Realplayer than that's all you need to sign in. I don't really no what's happening but one guess is you hit a commercial break. On some of the feeds there is silence during the commercial breaks. - Original Message - From: "kevin and emma" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Re: Easy Cd Creator Update.
There are a few fixes that would make your system more stable, but unless you're creating DVDs, don't bother. - Original Message - From: "Jim Noseworthy" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list.
