Module submission PNI
The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: modid: PNI DSLIP: bdpO2 description: a node based visual programming environment userid: FIBO (Gianluca Casati) chapterid: 8 (User_Interfaces) communities: http://perl-node-interface.blogspot.com/ similar: rationale: PNI stands for Perl Node Interface. It is my main project, my contribution to the great Perl community. Node programming is really interesting since makes possible to realize a program even if you have no idea about programming. Think about genetic researchers, for example. They need to focus on protein chains, not on what a package is. Maybe they can do an extra effort and say the world "variable" or "string" or even "regular expression" and that makes them proud, but they don't care about inheritance. I would like to have PNI namespace registered (or at least PNI::Node ), I'm planning to start a community that help me writing new nodes. Re: PAUSE ID request (ALKWARIZM; Andrew Solomon)
Dear Andrew, I applaud your desire to participate on metacpan. However, a PAUSE account is not necessary as there are other options for registering on metacpan. I would encourage you to use those first before resorting to a PAUSE account. PAUSE is not intended to be a general-purpose third-party authentication service and I am going to advise the metacpan administrators to remove it as a login option. Cannot edit meta data
Hi! Thanks for running CPAN, it is a great resource! Yesterday, I contributed by uploading and registring a module. However, in the PAUSE main menu, when I go to 'Edit Module Metadata', the list of my modules is empty. Instead, it says: > Sorry, there are no modules registered belonging to THEILING. Please > note, only modules that are already registered in the module list > can be edited here. If you believe, this is a bug, please contact > modules@perl.org. The module SQL::Yapp is registered to THEILING since yesterday. The namespace is registered and I see the module in all lists on search.cpan.org. I waited a few hours to ensure it has gone through most automated pipelines, but it still does not appear in the list in my account. Is this a problem? Best regards, Henrik
Re: Module submission IO::SWF::Editor
Hi brian. I report to you about the thing(IO::SWF::Editor) talked before. IO::SWF::Editor is a module for ther I/O of the SWF binary data. Therefore, I want to use this namespace, is this okay? 2011年7月26日16:27 原田星児 : > Hi brian. > Sorry, appropriate namespace is SWF::Editor. > My module is no limitation by IO:: . > I'll fix namespace and rebuild them. > > Thank you. > > 2011/7/26 brian d foy : >> [[ This message was both posted and mailed: see >> the "To," "Cc," and "Newsgroups" headers for details. ]] >> >> In article <201107251006.p6pa6idk000...@pause.fiz-chemie.de>, Perl >> Authors Upload Server wrote: >> >>> The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: >>> >>> modid: IO::SWF::Editor >>> DSLIP: bdpfp >>> description: SWF utils for perl. >>> userid: SHARADA (Seiji Harada) >> >> What's the significance of IO:: in the name?
