I notice it doesn't appear under http://search.cpan.org/~xern/ as a

I suggest you wait a couple of days because of the recent ftp.funet.fi

There's no way to rename a module via PAUSE except for registering a
new module and changing the status of the old one to "can be deleted".

So I just did it to the mysql database directly. As I do not expect
many cases like that in the future, I think there's no need to tell
you how it can be done.

As the title says, it's a repository for text, not a widget (and as the
description says, a "backend" storage device.

In a nutshell, any text-handling widget can use this to store their text value
and feed it user input. The main purpose is cursor-tracking, being able to
pull or set the cursor position in either ordinal index of the text string, or
as (row, column) coordinates when set to the widget's geometry. The other
functions are there simply because a) they're text manipulation functions, and
b) they affect the cursor position, which is, again, the main point of this
module in the first place.

Now that I think of it, would Text::WidgetRepository make more sense? I
rejected it originally because I didn't want people to think it was some kind
of "Widget" repository, instead of a "text" repository for widgets.

I'd be happy with Widget::TextRepository, except that the Widget::* namespace
doesn't appear to exist, and I hardly think this is a justification for it.
How many widget-oriented modules are out there that are not tied to a specific
toolkit?
