Re: Date-DayOfWeek
Um, If you have the date as a time value (There are several parsers out there to do this) You can do (localtime($time))[6] to get the day of the week Graham. Hello! I want to be registered as module developer. NAME: Alexey Presnyakov EMAIL: [EMAIL PROTECTED] HOMEPAGE: will be available later PREFFERED USERID: avp DESCRIPTION: I have written Template Engine in Perl. It's rewrite of very usable Xtpl engine to Perl. Now I have: plain Perl, plain PHP, PHP - C Engine. Today I want to contribute Perl version of Engine to CPAN. But I plan to made XS (C) version of engine (for better perfomance). So I want to make this standart for Web- deelopment. :-) -- Alexey Presnyakov ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) system administrator of Renet Com. +7 8452 450450, 732207

The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: modid: Date::DayOfWeek DSLIP: Rdpfp description: Calculate day of week for Gregorian dates userid: RBOW (Rich Bowen) chapterid:6 (Data_Type_Utilities) communities: similar: Date::Manip, Date::Christmas, Date::Easter rationale: A very lightweight module for calculating the day of the week for any date after the change to the Gregorian calendar. This uses the 'doomsday' approach, invented by John Conway. Well, CPAN does not allow takeover of namespaces without communication. I believe Ken is unreachable. Can I get some kind of approval that the takeover of maintainance is coordinated? Paolo, what's the status of the takeover. Is it intended to be permanent or temporary? Thanks, -- andreas

usage of perl modules?!
hello sirs, We had done our own simple modules. We too are equipped with CGI modules. But infact, we doesn't know the way to use the same. Is there any source to find the description of its usage? Please let us know. Thankx in advance.
