New module...
I've just gone an written a module which I've called... Net::SMTP::Receive All it does is listen on port 25 and receive emails. You must subclass it and provide a deliver() method to get it to do anything. I'm not ready to release it yet... Needs documentation, testing, etc. I'm writing to reserve the name. It's not a full mail daemon, so don't think it should be Server::Mail or Server::SMTP. It could be Mail::Receive I suppose, but it can't actually deliver mail. Why did I write it??? Well, I have a program that reliably needs to receive mail including the full envelope. The program is under development and thus may be up or down at any given time. I like the automatic retry that SMTP provides. Code: cdpO description: SMTP mail receiver, does not handle delivery You can change the code of Net::Netmask to RdpO File::Flock to Rdpf File::Slurp to Rdpf Thanks, -Dave
New author and module (DBIx::SearchBuilder)
Well, the new author is me, Jesse Vincent. The module is SearchBuilder. I've been hacking on a DBIx:: module as part of a trouble ticketing system called RT that I'm the primary author of. A number of folks have told me that it would make a good CPAN contribution, so here I am. SearchBuilder has been discussed in its former life as DBIx::EasySearch on [EMAIL PROTECTED] Description: SearchBuilder is a pure-perl abstarction layer on top of DBI which allows programers to build complex select statements with multiple calls to a couple fairly simple primitives. This ends up being particularly useful for "refining" existing searches. It also comes with a class called DBIx::SearchBuilder::Row which allows simple OO access to the data from a single database row. SearchBuilder returns its results as a set of DBIx::SearchBuilder::Rows Name: Jesse Vincent Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Preferred CPAN Id: JESSE Homepage: http://www.fsck.com/ SearchBuilder bdpO OO abstraction for compound searches JESSE Thanks! PAUSE Registration Request
I've just written small library that I think might be usefull as a CPAN module. Here's my information: name: Peter Thatcher email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] preferred ID: peter (petert if peter taken) description: A module which will convert HTML into LaTeX. module list format: Name DSLI Description - HTML::LatexbdpO Converts HTML file to Latex file I'm afraid there hasn't been much discussion about it; I wish there were more myself. To find out more about it and it's interest level, look at http://html2latex.sourceforge.net . HTML::Latex was originally (and is currently used by) html2latex. The module is packaged inside of the latest html2latex package which can be found at ftp://html2latex.sourceforge.net/pub/html2latex/html2latex-latest.tar.gz = Peter Thatcher [EMAIL PROTECTED] __ Do You Yahoo!?
