creating a group chat with msn through adium
Hi, hopefully someone can help me out. I can't seem to get it. I'm trying to get a group chat going on man through adium. Has anyone done this yet and if so, how? I know it does work since I've been a part of one but never set it up myself. May and Prince Noah -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. remote access for macs?
Hey there. I was wondering if the macs have remote access like with jaws? i need to help someone fix their mac and we're in two different locations of course. Do we have that capability? If so, can someone send me the steps on how to do so or where I should go look for that? strange mail problem
Hi there everyone. I have a strange mail problem. Yesterday I got an iMac and transferred all my things to it from the mac air. Well, all is going well in getting it set up, except for mail. For whatever reason it’s not letting me create any of my email accounts. I go through all the steps and all looks good, but when I’m done, no accounts, no error message, no nothing. Any idea what’s going on? May and Prince Noah www.canadianlynx.ca -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. email accounts
Good morning. I’m trying one more time since I didn’t get an answer and I’m quite puzzled. I’m trying to set up my email clients on my iMac and I’m getting nothing. I put in all the information and it doesn’t create the account. I don’t get any error messages. Any ideas? Also, someone said to go back to apple mail default it’s users, library and then mail? I don’t have mail hiding anywhere on my macs or am I missing a location? Thanks. good stereo computer speakers
Good morning. I'm looking for recommendations. I'm in need of some really good computer speakers for my iMac. The speakers I did have connected to my windows machine suck when connected to the mac. so it's time for shopping. Yes, I know the iMac has a good built in speaker, but not so much when you want to play music that's definitely basey and loud. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. It tells you after a while that the key isn’t activated and when you try it says this key has been used on another machine. So you’d have to call them and say, nope, it hasn’t or something like it. Re: spl with fusion
Hi there. So, do I need to disconnect the headset completely like unplug it from the mac, plug it back in so that then it ask what to connect to? Or can I just go to the usb settings and tell the headset to connect to the virtual machine? And if we do it this way it means the mac will no longer see the headset at all right and I won't have a headset for the mac side of things? Re: Wow Gmail issue is even worse than I thought
Maybe some are tired of hearing it cause there's nothing we can do about it. I can say gmail is an issue period both on windows and on the mac and on their website. Sometimes I see mail, sometimes I don't. It's probably frustrating to a lot of people, but bitching sadly here won't get it fixed. Good luck to you and the gmail frustrations. I moved all my important stuff from gmail. A lot easier than keep dealing with the headaches. safari, virtual windows and mavericks
Hi there everyone. I’m not sure if this is a safari issue or if it’s new with mavericks, but any help would be appreciated if someone knows how to fix it. First with Safari now whenever I’m moving around a page on the web it says clickable, for example May clickable. It did not do this before and I’m wondering how do you turn this off? It’s going to drive me nuts? Second regarding virtual windows. If I’m on the mac side of things it has now greatly reduced the volume of speech on windows, but the volume is fine when I switch to the windows window. Any idea on how to fix this as well? This is another issue I did not have before upgrading to Mavericks. voiceover not responding
Ok, trying again since I didn’t get an answer the first time. I have checked everything I could think of and for whatever reason since the update to mavericks my computer or voiceover will now go to sleep I guess after I don’t interact with it for a minute and it will take it at least 30 seconds to respond. Is there any reason this could be happening? I tried closing things like mail to see if that was stalling it out. USB headsets
Hey there everyone. First off, happy Thanksgiving to all those that are celebrating it today. Enjoy lots of pumpkin pie for me, *smiles* Now for my question. Is there a way to make it so that a USB headset will work on both the mac and fusion at the same time? My first headset just died and I’m using a USB set for now, but have discovered that it won’t work on both sides and I just can’t see myself wearing 2 headsets, lol. Re: headset part 2
Sadly, that actually doesn’t work unless I’m missing something. As soon as I tell fusion to use the USB headset the headset no longer is activated, not for the mac and not for fusion. Also, on the mac side if I tell it to use the USB headset the sounds still come through the computer speakers and not the headset. Completely confused. Good evening all. Can someone tell me where speech files could be hiding? I had a trial version of speech running on my mac and although I uninstalled it and deleted it from my computer it is still trying to access the voices. Re: Battery Life on IOS 7
Wow speaking of battery life since I had a battery issue not long ago that puzzled me. Surprisingly after doing the update my phone lasted nearly 50 hours before dying and needing a charge. I am curious to find out if that was just a ha, good luck day after the upgrade since I'm letting it do a complete recharge now since I don't need to go anywhere today it can sit and charge and I'll see if I'm lucky again. system default voice
Hi all. Is there a reason that voice over would use a voice that's not set for the system default voice? What I mean is my mac is usually Jill instead of Alex which is what I have it set at. I've checked every setting I can think of and everything is set on Alex. I can't think of anywhere else to check. I've tried reseting the voice over settings, but it's still using Jill. Yes, I'm aware of that, but that's not what's happening. Like I said I have everything set on Alex, but it's picking Jill for whatever reason. It keeps it Jill no matter what voice I pick.
