I went round in circles on the dropbox site last month trying to re download the client. Is Smart Sync an option on a folder? I can take a look tonight and see if I can give you specific directions. Query regarding FaceTime and VoiceOver on MacOS Big Sur.
Good afternoon everyone! Has anyone noticed a problem with VoiceOver and FaceTime on MacOS Big Sur? or on the Mac in general? I'm currently talking to my friend in Australia. I've had to answer it on my iPhone because when I tried to answer it on my Mac book Pro, all I kept getting is FaceTime has no windows. But then when I tried to answer it when he tried to phone me back, I tried the notification method by VoiceOver and the letter N. All I got was no notifications available. Also, has anyone noticed when you try and search for a contact, all VoiceOver says is Search results empty table. Look forward to any responses!Gary Price Sent from my 13 inch Mac book pro. Windows 10 on VMware Fusion.
Hi! I don’t know if this matters but I have installed Windows 10 onto my VMware Fusion. I don’t have a License key but I think you can run windows 10 in demo mode for some time. However I don’t hear any sound when starting Windows up. The audio device is connected and I hear my Computers fan work very hard. Maybe 4 Gig of memory is to less for windows 10. But I only have 8 on my MacBook Air 2015. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks. /A -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list. Re: Windows 10 on VMware Fusion.
Hi Anders, This same thing happened to me over a year ago when I first tried getting Win10 up and running under VMWare. I don’t remember all the details, but I seem to remember the problem being caused by VMware Fusion not being able to access everything on your Mac. Go to System Preferences > Privacy and Security > Privacy tab, and make sure VMWWare Fusion.app has complete control of your computer. That may not be everything necessary, but hopefully it’ll give you a start. Re: Windows 10 on VMware Fusion.
What Braille Display are you using, and what version of Windows is installed. If you don’t know the version, you can press Windows+R, and when it asks for a program name, type winner and press ENTER. I agree, the Braille support is not the greatest with Narrator, but Microsoft appears to be trying to make things better with each new version of Windows they release. I believe another version is coming out next month. Yes, but you have to go online to view the folders that you are no longer seeing on the computer. This was impossible to see when I tried. Re: Dropbox on the Web
You are confusing Smart Sink with Selective Sink. SmartSink allows you to to view the folders, but the material is online unless you open a file. What you are referring to is selective sink, which let’s you determine which folders do not show up on your computer at all. Hi! Focus 40 5th gen. But I think that Narrator is quite great anyway. auto-Reading documents by VoiceOver voice
Hello all, This seems a old bug to me but on macos 11.2.3 on a macbook air with a m1 chip, voiceover is reading a document from the top when swipe with 2 fingers down. This is not like expected when the cursor is not at the beginning of the document: voiceover should start reading from the position of the cursor. Or, is this supposition of me wrong? Perhaps I can use another command to read automatically from cursor to bottom? Thx for any comments/hints William Windels -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list. I find that using the keyboard command VO + A, works well for this. - Brad - On Apr 13, 2021, at 15:57, William Windels wrote: Hello all, This seems a old bug to me but on macos 11.2.3 on a macbook air with a m1 chip, voiceover is reading a document from the top when swipe with 2 fingers down. a question regarding one password?
Hello, is the one password servers usable when one uses voiceover? I read a email from CNN this morning that is a daily suggestion of things to help improve one's life. Granted it is advertising, but several other news outlets and/or disability related outlets have mentioned the service recently. John just wondering is this even remotely usable by someone using OS X? Any thoughts? Please note that the above text has been dictated to the computer by means of Windows transcription software. The only reason why this is being written in Windows this because the company that makes the software no longer makes a Mac version. If there's something that you can't make sense of written above, please reach out to me and asked me what my original intent was? I really do look forward to helping clear of any misunderstandings that might arise from the text above. Any comments, positions or other statements written above, really are me the person. They don't reflect the views of the national Federation of the blind, or the national Federation of the blind deaf blind division. Re: a question regarding one password?
I have been using 1password for about 10 years, it is quite good and the developer is responds to accessibilty questions. With Big Sur it integrates into the Safari browser more compleathly than with older systems. When you are in a password or user name field pressing downarrow provides a suggestN list. Hardest part is getting new passwords generated and saved corectly I think this might be easier for blind folks. My wife kept adding new entries instead of updating old ones when changing passwords but I alwayss found a update existing tab next to the create new tab Note however that the Applh password manager is much better now also. If you only use Applh products there is no real nef to spend money on 1password. ,password shines in that they have Android Windows Ch'romeos versions.
