Also, once the new window is presented, you can often simply press the tab key
from within the text entry field to complete the name and email address. I
assume it takes the first entry that matches the partially typed name or
address. Very often, this is exactly what I want, so it’s a quick operation.

Help with my Mack air

2020-07-03 Thread Rebecca Sabo
Hi all,
My name is Becky Sabo. I have a Mac air 2013 model. It will not turn on at all
and I have tried plugging it in and also will not turn on. I have tried calling
Apple and they said that that model has been discontinued. My problem is I did
not update any of my files on external hard drive or a way to get the files off
the computer. They suggested that I need to go to a third-party dealer here in
Colorado try to get it fixed. The problem is I don’t know where to go any
suggestions would be helpful
Thanks
Becky

Re: Help with my Mack air

2020-07-03 Thread John Panarese
Do you know anyone with a Mac who might have a similar model? I ask because
it could be the power supply/power adaptor too. If you have a sighted person
you could ask, make sure the the adaptor is lighting up when it’s plugged in.
If it’s the machine itself, you will need an authorized Apple repair center to
fix it.

I completely agree. I can’t believe the moderator has been
silent and allowed this crap to go on.
Unlike a Groups.io email list, I am not aware
of a way to mute a topic.
It appears that the only way to deal with this is to unsubscribe

You can also use Microsoft Edge though it works very much like Chrome since

2020-07-03 Thread John Panarese
Thanks Mike. E.T. had posted it as well. I think this is really cool. As I
said, having alternative browsers is a great thing for the Mac.

RE: Help with my Mack air

2020-07-03 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Hi Becky,

Do you know if there is any icons on the screen when you try to start the
machine up or if it stays completely powered off?

Do you have another Mac machine that you could connect the Mac book air to and
start the air up as an external drive using target disk mode?

Subject: Help with my Mack air

Hi all,
My name is Becky Sabo.
The problem is I don’t know where to go any
suggestions would be helpful Thanks Becky

How about if you have an iPhone, and use the SeeingAI app to look at the
computer screen to see if/what shows up?
