Problem with iPhone 7 and computer.
Morning everyone! Please can I have some advice. Recently I've noticed something really strange with my iPhone 7 and computers. Both my Mac book pro and desktop computer. When I connect my phone it's meant to charge correct. Well instead of doing this it is doing a rhythmic vibration. I have been in touch with Apple support yesterday and they are not sure if it is my phone or my cable. But see here's the issue. We don't have an Apple store over here in Bolton. The nearist one is either in the Trafford centre or Arndale centre both of which ar located in Manchester. But see my Brother Neil now has a little girl to think about coming up to three next month, the fourth. So he might not be able to take me down there. Apple support have sent me a link for them to give me a call with all the case details already in front of the person. Please what should I do now? Any advice or help would be appreciated! Thanks all, I look forward to any responses. Through Apple support I found out that this rhythmic vibration means it's connecting then disccnecting. RE: Problem with iPhone 7 and computer.
Do you have a second cable you could try it with? Also try plugging the cable in to a different USB port on one of your computers or into an AC power adapter which you would have gotten with the iPhone. Does the rhythmic vibration happen with any of these other suggestions. Re: In the market for a new laptop- your advice
The connection method was USB. I recall the issue being in the setup of the embosser. In order to use the embosser, one has to setup an imaginary printer first and then somehow trick the computer to print to the embosser by going through this imaginary printer setup. I’m definitely distorting all the details here- It was so long ago, I don’t recollect the exact details but I know it was somewhere along this line. And I also know for a fact that on my bootcamp partition the process would work just fine. Sorry for the inexact description. Thanks for all your input though. You could also go into iTunes and eject your iPhone completely. Then, disconnect it from the computer completely, wait a few seconds, then reconnect. Not sure if that will help but worth a try. Re: Problem with iPhone 7 and computer.
Hi, It sounds to me like the USB port on your Mac is failing. Those ports do not normally give out the kind of power output that the USB wall charger does. It sounds like it works with the wall charger, but not so well with your computer. This tells me that there is nothing wrong with the iPhone 7, nor the charging cable. Try it with a different port on the Mac. See if you have any better luck. Later... Virtual machine folder after moving documents to iCloud drive
Hi, I hope somebody, particularly Tim, might respond to this SOS message. I’ve decided to move my Document folder into iCloud drive. I run Windows in VMWare Fusion on my macbook pro as well, and the virtual machine folder is located in Document folder. Having moved Document folder into iCloud drive, VMWare Fusion doesn’t find my virtual machine. How can I solve this? Have I made a mistake to move virtual machines folder to iCloud drive? Should I copy it back to my Macbook Pro and if yes how? Andrew -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
