Captcha problem
Hi folks. I have come across a much dreaded Captcha which i have to defeat in order to change a password on the Avid site, so i can upgrade to Pro Tools 11. I have Romula installed in my Safari as an extension but can for the life of me not remember how it all worked. I have active credits so that shouldn’t be a problem, but how do i do to solve a captcha with Romula? Re: Deleting apps from an iPhone using the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard
Hello Angelo, I love the Kindle app, not because it's better than other apps; it gives me access to books which I might otherwise not be able to download and easily read. It has its problems. For instance, when I select a word to look up, it seems that I am almost never able to select the word I want when moving through a text word-by-word. I usually end up having unintentionally selected a word that is two or three words removed from the word I wanted. Then I have to fiddle with the right and left selection edges to single out the word I want. A hassle, but a price I am willing to pay. As far as the bluetooth keyboard is concerned, once on the page you want to read, I believe that VO+A should start reading. The Kindle app is free, so if you wanted to try it, all you'd have to do is acquire a Kindle book from Amazon. Take care, Mike On 18,Jan,2014, at 8:43 PM, Angelo wrote: > hi Mike, I haven’t played around with the kindle app, I think the VO and dash > will start and stop the reading of the book, maybe I should download it and > play a little. Re: Captcha problem
What usually happens is this: You go to the page where the captcha is needed and by the time you've filled the rest of the page out, or within a minute or two at most, the captcha is filled in for you. There are a few instances where this may not work; for instance, when I was submitting my income tax on taxact last year, captcha recognition didn't work and I assumed it was something on the site that maybe blocked it. Also, when I helped a friend with skype captcha didn't get recognized for her and we weren't sure why; it might have been her slow connection. It usually works fine for me but I just realized my year must be up or close to up so i probably need to buy another set of credits. I think they expire after a year even if you have some left. Hth. -- Cheryl I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf. I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper thrown in the trash! Then God gave me a new heart and life: His joy for my despairing tears! And now, every day: "This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Re: Looks like Windows is also heading toward full screen reader built in
hi, i do agree with Daniel. This topic may be OT for the most on this list, but the movement is definitely interesting. Usually, at least in Denmark where i am living the prices for for example jaws is so high cause the most expects that your government pays for it , so they can pretty much set any price they like. So why not simply set the highest price they dare? it will be good business seen from their point of view. Now there is just this little other problem, we have more and more independent blind people who will not tolerate just standing on the sideline, rubbernecking, having too depends on sighted assistance. And frankly that is where windows in a combination with a mac comes into play. I can't speak for others but after i got my sight mostly back i had only one wish,"what can i do too help others not as lucky as me?" I thought NVDA was quite primitive, oh boy were i proven wrong, we have tons and tons of add ons that we can install, blah, blah, blah. I am not saying that windows is better than it used to be, but at least whilst i am taking the medical education, it is needed for me and well if that means that i will get done faster with the education that is just exactly what i am going to do. It is perfectly fine to me that we have persons on the list who will never again touch windoww ever again, but let me ask you this. Would you do it if your income depended on it ? :) I found a way so i could add eloquence to nvdas voices. Again means faster reading rate. Personally i am not a huge fan of either jaws or window eyes, why? i like open source software with a passion. Anyway just my thoughts, have a wonderful weekend. Re: Using pages, templates.
Hello Matt, To make sense of a template, you need to build up a mental map of it on the page. So you start by noting the page size and its margins. You can then examine each element of the template in turn by positioning yourself on the item and jumping to the Formatter. You’ll find the width and height for each element, as well as its X and Y coordinates. With all that information, you should be able to assemble the jigsaw puzzle. But, for a giant like MicroSoft to prefer one of the little guys over another, I would guess that they’ll be called upon to “level the playing field.” Well, we’ll see. Hebrew voice and hebrew braille for mac
Hello all, I’m trying to find a way to read hebrew braille on my mac. I found an old post in the archives that list a supported package for international braille codes but it looked like it was for Snow Leopard. The link is http://www.cecimac.org/english.htm Does anyone know of anything more recent or will this package still work for me in mavericks? In VO utility I see support for many international braille codes but not hebrew. A TTS voice would be a nice bonus, but the braille is more important to me. Any tips? Re: Using pages, templates.
The rectangular items are usually just items to help the layout. Some are also for titles or addresses and the like. The key thing is to interact with the relevant text area before you can type over the place holder text. You Must also use the arrow keys with QuickNav turned off in order to select the place holder text before typing over it. Without knowing the exact template you're using it's hard to give more specific information than that. If you want someone to talk you through it as you're using the template I recommend taking one of Anne and Archie's Pages courses. Re: Using pages, templates.
Hello, does anyone know where Pages stores the templates? I created some test templates and can't find the place where they are stored. What I found on the internet was just for Pages 09 and that doesn't work anymore. Thanks and all the best Jürgen Am 20.01.2014 um 06:30 schrieb Matt Dierckens : > Hey Nick. > Do these courses cost? Re: Using pages, templates.
Hello Jürgen, In the new Pages, the templates are hidden somewhere I can’t find them. When you create a template, you have the option of saving it to a folder of your own, and when you open that template from the folder, you have to agree to add it to Pages to be able to use it, whereupon it disappears into the black hole of Pages. However, you still have your copy in your own folder and can share that with other people. You can, however, delete your templates from the template chooser.
