Locking my screen anyone please?.
Hi Thuy. My last resort is to reset the display and if that does not work I send it to be looked at as I reset my I phone. My question is how to lock the screen in to portrait mode please any one? Re: Locking my screen anyone please?.
Hi Kawal. To lock the orientation to portrait, you bring up the app switcher with double click of the home button; then three finger swipe right to get to the second page instead of the third page that it defaults to.There you have the controls for the music player and the first item if you swipe right with one finger is the rotation lock button which requires a double tap to toggle it.. Hope this helps? keyboard shortcuts for navigating the dock
Hi all, The link below was in the Flying-Blind newsletter this morning, and links to a listing of keyboard shortcuts you can use to get to and navigate the dock. Most of them will be familiar, but there were a couple I didn't know, so I thought I'd pass this along. Creating keyboard shortcuts broken
Hello everyone, In OS X 10.7.3 and OS X 10.7.4, it seems that VO users can no longer create shortcuts for Services or other predefined categories in System Preferences. We can still create shortcuts for commands in specific applications. Since 10.7.3, there has been an Add button next to the command name but VO users can't click it. I tried VO-Space, VO-Shift-Space, Space Bar alone, Return, and bringing the mouse, turning off VO, and clicking with the trackpad, but nothing worked. Has anyone else had this trouble? I've already reported it to Accessibility. Cheers, Anne -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Hi. I'm sorry that I totally misunderstood your question. You have to manually switch voice and language on the mac. This can quickly be done by holding down the VO keys and command, then choose voice by pressing the left or right arrow and then switch to the voice you need by using the up and down arrows. Re: problem with braille display.
Funny I just came across your message this morning shortly after I experienced this very thing for the first time with my iPod. It was like this incredible long lag time where actions from the Braille display would back up in a queue or something and then trickle to the iPod maybe five seconds later or something. I finally got out of the application I was running and then I noticed the Braille display showing its startup prompt even though the iPod claimed it was still connected. I finally unpaired the device and re-paired it from within Settings -> Accessibility -> VoiceOver -> Braille. then I noticed VO said the Braille display was still disconnected. I had to power cycle everything and then I had to force the display to connect in the VO bluetooth menu; fwew, I finally got it all working. that was a real pain; I hope that doesn't happen again. Re: keyboard shortcuts for navigating the dock
Very cool article. I have some questions on the links within the article. There are 2 links to expand on dock tips. Remove show and hide dock delay, and a speedy dock animation. Both of these tips require a terminal command. Is this as simple as opening up terminal, entering the command, pressing return, then quitting terminal? up arrow key not working
I can't seem to use the unmodified up arrow key to move up through a list of files or folders anymore. I have to use either control up arrow or vo up arrow. this happened right after I installed fusion 4. How do I fix this, if anybody knows? It's really annoying! Re: possible to split audio file in garageband/?
Hi, After the track is split, there are now 2 regions. You just delete the region containing the part of the track you do not want. If you are deleting the first portion of a track, you might want to use control delete. This not only deletes the region but, slides the remaining region in its place. This way you are not left with a blank spot. Re: Tutorials or resources for learning voice over on the Mac?
I'm not sure there is a version of companion for the mac, though you really don't need it since you can copy files manually, I've done several pod casts that are posted on blind cool tech that many have found helpful.
