Navigating facebook with Menutab - maybe a newbyish question

2012-03-04 Thread Krister Ekstrom
Hi,
I'm using Menutab Pro to get at my facebook site. I'll have to use the desktop
mode, the mode that shows the full facebook in order to be able to comment or
like things when i'm the first one to comment. This is no problem for me, but i
have another strange one here. When i have notifications i see a number next to
my name. Clicking on that number makes it disappear, however i don't see any
notifications just my news feed and i can't get at the comments and stuff in
the notifications making it impossible to answer or act upon them. How do
people who use the full facebook site do for this? Where am i supposed to go to
see a summary of my notifications?
/Krister

problem with iPad Messages

2012-03-04 Thread Shen
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to share a few contacts from my iPhone to my iPad. I thought the
easiest way is sharing via Messages. So I sent a few contacts over to my iPad.
On the iPad, it says I have a message with an attachment. But no matter what I
do, I can't find the attachment to select it. Visually, it is there on the
screen, but VoiceOver is skipping over it.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to select the attachment?
I've already tried restarting VoiceOver and the iPad. I know this works because
I've done it on iPhone Messages.
Any help is appreciated.

Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
Hi.

I have the Fusion disk burned and in my drive. In the Fusion virtual
machine menu it says there is windows is running. But if I try to install
the tools I still hang. My wife says the screen is blank except a message
that says boot manager is missing, press control alt delete. I have tried
this, nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

Re: question of Outlook tell recognizer

2012-03-04 Thread Frank Tom
Hi there Gigi,
The answer, as always, is "maybe."

The Recognizer as always, looks for an Image that has been saved to your I
Phone. If you take a picture, and then try to find the same place, as long as
you are standing in the same place and aiming the phone at the same angle, it
should work.

But, as with any new app, try it out and see if it works.

Let us know. I also assume that lighting will be a big issue. Try taking
pictures on different days. Sunny days have shadows, cloudy days do not.

Good luck.

the best thing I can suggest is to first off delete the virtual machine. then
build a new machine. depending on how you wish to install windows, it will
either ask for your serial number on the VMWare prompt or on install. start a
fresh install. when windows has finished loading, it should automatically
install the VMWare tools including boot support tools.

it may be a hickup. what windows version are you installing and is it a retail

RE: Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
It's an upgrade version, and VM says to install the machine without the
serial number, then do a Window's anytime upgrade at which time you put in
the serial number. This worked the last time I did this with Version 3x.
But I did notice the two times I created virtual machines that the process
seemed to take no time at all. The frist time I figured maybe Windows had
not installed properly, tried it again, just as fast, but I didn't delete
the first VM first. Let me try it that way.

But how can the tools install automatically if they need the VM disk to be
in the drive if I have the windows disk in the drive? Am I better off
installing Windows from the ISO file I got when I bought this upgrade
version and leaving the VM disk in the drive?

Re: Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Kawal Gucukoglu
Hello Bill.

I have just had one thought as you talk about your serial number.

Some months ago, I installed a new virtual machine running windows 7 (bearing
in mind) that I had installed the same operating system many times since I
bought this retail version in 2010 when I was in the USA.

So when I re-installed the same again, I could not register it and had to call
Microsoft Automated system to get my code reset. The reason for me to tell you
this was I could not install the VMware tools until the machine was properly
registered again. Hope you are not having the same issue.

Kawal.

Apple TV & streaming music?

2012-03-04 Thread Traci
Hey all,

I need something explained to me. I'm considering an Apple TV, when the new
one is released. Is there a way to listen to my iTunes library via apple tv
and my tv speakers, with no other device on?

This is the part I'm not fully getting. :) I don't want to have my Mac on to
access my library.

Thanks,
Traci
PS. Any good recommendations on apple TV and voiceover podcasts?

RE: Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
Hope not, too. But I did notice something when I went to wipe out my
virtual machines. The first one created was only about 90 meg, the second
one over 3 gig. Wondering if something went wrong with the first and it was
affecting the second. I have wiped them both out and this time I will
install from the ISO I downloaded from the MS store and leave my Fusion disk
in the drive.

Hello Bill.

I have just had one thought as you talk about your serial number.

Some months ago, I installed a new virtual machine running windows 7
(bearing in mind) that I had installed the same operating system many times
since I bought this retail version in 2010 when I was in the USA.

So when I re-installed the same again, I could not register it and had to
call Microsoft Automated system to get my code reset. The reason for me to
tell you this was I could not install the VMware tools until the machine was
properly registered again. Hope you are not having the same issue.

Hi.
VMWare disc?
You shouldn't need a VMWare anything. Just install fusion on you're Mac,
install windows making sure the easy install option is checked, and wait
patiently. Fusion should install the tools automagicly.
The only CD that you might need is you're windows disc and that only to install
windows. Once windows is installed, you can take out the windows disc and put
it somewhere safe for the next time you might need to install windows.

that's windows 7 and vista for you. the servers lock the codes down after 10

a good recommendation here is to create an ISO or DMG version of the windows
install disk, believe it or not it's actually fater doing the install this way.
I have installers for windows XP Pro, Vista business and Windows 7 Dell OEM for

RE: Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
That's how I tried it last night. Supposedly Windows got installed, I kept
hanging with the install tools option. Was told I should try putting in the
VM disk. Confused at this point and frustrated. GR. Wiped out my VMs
but now now when I call up Fusion it still says I have a Win 7 machine
installed.

RE: Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
That's what I'm going to try this time. Iactually bought this upgrade
version from the ms store and it came as an ISO. But now frusion says I
still have a Win 7 machine, even though I have deleted the entire virtual
machine folder.

a good recommendation here is to create an ISO or DMG version of the windows
install disk, believe it or not it's actually fater doing the install this
way. I have installers for windows XP Pro, Vista business and Windows 7 Dell
OEM for quick access. works a treat

You shouldn't need a VMWare anything. Just install fusion on you're Mac,
install windows making sure the easy install option is checked, and wait
patiently. Fusion should install the tools automagicly.

The only CD that you might need is you're windows disc and that only to
install windows. Once windows is installed, you can take out the windows
disc and put it somewhere safe for the next time you might need to install
windows.

installing Windows from the ISO file I got when I bought this upgrade
version and leaving the VM disk in the drive?

the best thing I can suggest is to first off delete the virtual machine.
then build a new machine. depending on how you wish to install windows, it
will either ask for your serial number on the VMWare prompt or on install.
start a fresh install. when windows has finished loading, it should
automatically install the VMWare tools including boot support tools.

it may be a hickup. what windows version are you installing and is it a
retail disk you're using or OEM or custom?

Re: Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Mr. L. Alexander
here's what to do. firstly when VMWare opens, you have the main VM suite
window. your win 7 machine is going to be there so delete it. then quit, go to
your DMware machines stored folder (usually in documents) and delete the VMWare
machine in question. wipe from trash as well.

now, relaunch vmware and start from scratch.

Re: Still trying to get Fusion running

2012-03-04 Thread Matthew Campbell
Hi.
You need to remove it from you're library. Go in to the library. There will be
a scroll area, so interact with that. There you will see an un labeled button
and underneath it, it'll tell you what Virtual Machine it is. VO shift M on the
name and when the contextual menu comes up, there'll be a delete or remove
option. Select this.
That will completely remove it from fusion.

VM migration vs new machine

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
Hi.

Deleted everything, getting started again, noticed VM offers me the
opportunity to migrate my PC to a virtual machine. Should I give this a
try with my Dell Win 7 box that is connected to the same network or is this
more trouble than it's worth?

Re: Apple TV & streaming music?

2012-03-04 Thread jason lefevers
Hey tracy , the only way to play music on your apple TV with no other devices
running is to turn on Itunes match , however I believe this is a paid service
which allows you to store your music in a cloud and access it from any device.
you can access your Itunes music and movies on your computer using home sharing
but this requires your computer to be running and on the same network . You
don't have to be at the computer it just has to be on and Itunes has to be
running and from your apple TV just go into the home sharing menue and access
your music that way. If your just looking to play music I have a few better
options if you have a Iphone or Ipod touch. Also what new apple TV are you
refering to? I have the 2nd gen the thing I heard was apple is going to release
a actual TV set sometime this year and I don't know what all it will do. It
will be apples version of a smarty TV. I don't know any good podcasts other
than the ones listed already. let me know if you want to know more about the
apple TV I am happy to help. Jason On Mar 4, 2012, at 1:15 PM, Traci wrote:

This is where I must be going wrong with VM

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
Hi.

I tried creating a virtual machine off my ISO file. I pointed Fusion to the
ISO, wich is 3.32gb, completed the menus and clicked finish. Supposedly I
instantly had a machine. This can't be installing so quickly. I must be
doing something wrong. But in the virtual machine library the Windows 7 VM
is there. It's in the folder at 1.08gb. Can the creation of a virtual
machine from either disk or ISO be instantaneous or am I doing something
wrong?

Do not see any Windows machine in the Fusion window, install tools in not
grayed out so I'm guessing this did not happen automatically, either.

Feeling very stupid at this point.

Re: Apple TV & streaming music?

2012-03-04 Thread Traci
Hey, thanks for the good info.

Well, in the last few days, we've been calling local stores for the apple tv
2nd gen, but everyone is out of stock. Doing some googling, rumor is there is
going to be an apple tv refresh next week along side the iPad 3rd gen.

I'm interested in the apple tv for Netflix and youTube, but I'd love a way to
play our music.

Our Klipsch iPhone/iPod dock died recently, and I'm missing music in the living
room. I had it in my head, instead of spending $100-$200 on a new mini
radio/dock, maybe I could somehow stream music via the tv.

We have one of those Vizio tv's that can access Netflix, youTube, Pandora, and
more, but of course, it is not blind friendly. :)

Re: Anyone Ever Use Homespun Music for Instruction?

2012-03-04 Thread CJ Daniel
Teresa,

Actually, musicvi.com is up & running. And, he doesn't right books, but
creates lessons regarding particular songs or series of lessons regarding
particular styles on CD or digital downloads from his site. NLS' music section
has them for loan, on cassette, via snail mail. If you're interested go to
NLS' regular site, not BARD, & put Bill Brown in the author's search h field.
It's not as quick as BARD, but well worth the outlay of effort. I've learned a
lot from his material. His site, also, has quite a bit of sample links to
listen & judge their worth to you.

Good Luck,

CJ

Questions regarding using the Apple keyboard with the IPhone

2012-03-04 Thread David Eagle
Hello all, I am using the Apple Keyboard with the IPHone 4s and it
works very well. There are however a few things I am unsure about.
Firstly, selecting text: I used someone's IPad with an apple keyboard
and selecting text was the same as with the Mac; you pressed VO enter,
then selected your text and then VO enter again. This does not seem to
work on the IPhone. Any ideas how to easily select a block of text
using the Apple Keyboard on the IPHone?

Secondly, I can't work out how to do a spell check. I am informed when
a word is misspelt but I cannot find a list of corrections. This is
the situation whether I am in a text or pages. Any ideas on that one?

Thirdly and finally, I don't know how to do the equivolent of a double
tap and hold. I can do a double tap but not double tap and hold on the
second tap using the keyboard. Any ideas regarding that?

Thank you friends.

How to use the archives?

2012-03-04 Thread Eric Caron
Dear listers,

I'm rather intimidated with using searches. Even Google sometimes
confuses me. So, I've not used the search functions available in this list.
I'm wondering if someone would post directions on how to use the archives for
this list. A podcast would also be very welcome. Also if the process is
different for the viphone list then tips on searching there would be
appreciated.

I'm ready to give this a good try.

Re: Apple TV & streaming music?

2012-03-04 Thread jason lefevers
oh I didn't know about the update for the apple TV . If you already have a
iphone or Ipod with IOS 4.3 or later than you can use the airplay feature on
the apple TV. just have the TV on and on your IOS device turn airplay on to
stream music from your device to your TV. It works great with music from any
source on your IOS device either your Itunes music , pandora , spotify etc you
can play it using the apple TV The most recent update also allows something
called airplay mirroring which when turned on streams your whole display on
your IOS device on to your TV with the apple TV. Esentually making your apple
TV connected
a larger version of your IOS device. On Mar 4, 2012, at 2:34 PM, Traci wrote:

Hi Anne.
Thanks for the information about the Numbers command. You have no idea how much

but that one didn't work. However, I'll take this one. I just used it, and it's

Re: Apple TV

2012-03-04 Thread jason lefevers
hey Sara thanks, I:ll try and give you a brief overview of the apple TV and if
you have any specific questions about what it can and can't do let me know.
First off the apple TV is a small box about the size of a hockey puck in order
to use it you will need a TV with a HDMI imput and a wireless network, it also
has a either net imput so if you wanted you could hardwire it right into your
modem if you don't have a wireless network. so assuming you have these I will
go over some of the great things I have found it can do. First It has VO
installed , its the same voice on the Iphone . Someone mentioned about tripil
clicking the play/pause button to turn VO on but I cant' turn it on this way .
I needed some sighted assistance to go threw the menus to turn VO on but once
its on its totally accessable . I should also note it comes with a small remote
that has a large circle for left, right, up, down davigation of menus, A select
button in the middle of the circle and two buttons below the circle . The left
is menu or Back button , the right is the play/pause button thats it. so the
first time you plug it in and turn it on it will ask you for your apple store
info and get you to set up connection to your internet connection . after its
done and you have VO turned on your ready to go. So there is the main menu
screen divided into catigories they are: movies,TV shows, Itunes match,
computers, internet, and settings. movies : in the movies menu is where you can
rent or buy movies from Itunes . Its very simple just look threw the different
movie catigories for your movie or you can do a search . Just select a movie
and rent it and start watching . Note, all the movies are HD movies so there a
little more expensive than standard def movies about 4 or 5 dollars. Tv shows
are the same you can purchase TV shows and watch them right from the TV. It
also connects to Icloud so any purchased TV shows From any device connected to
your Icloud account will show up in the purchased TV shows list and you can
play them right from the cloud. next is Imatch which is a paid way to sink your
Itunes music to the cloud to play on any device . I dont use this so I can't
comment on it. Next is internet , There are a few things in this menu the only
ones I hav used are netflicks and utube. Netflicks works great on it and is
totally accessible. Next is computer , with a computer connected to your
network and home sharing inabled you can access content on your computer and
stream it right to your apple TV . and settings is self explanitory. another
great feature is airplay and airplay mirroring . This allows you to stream
music and movies from Your computer or IOS device right to the TV. I use this
to stream music playing on pandora on my Iphone to the apple TV which I have
hooked to a very nice stereo and I can control the music on my stereo with my
Iphone . Its really cool. with the airplay and mirroring you can also stream
movies and photos to the TV . over all I am very happy with all the things I
can now do with the tv. It really helps with playing specific tv shows for my
kids using netflicks and itunes with no sighted assistance . Any other
questions Feeel free to ask. Jason 2, 2012, at 9:56 AM, Sarah May wrote:

Why not just setup iCloud to sync your contacts? This way you don't have to

Re: Finale or music editor for mac?

2012-03-04 Thread Mr. L. Alexander
At present, through my knowledge on this area from the past to now, Finale will
not nor has ever been accessible to blind users on the mac platform. this is
the same for sibelius and other mainstream applications on the market today.

the reason for this is rather simple..

The way most score programs work is through a use of graphics as a score
reference and in some cases, score fonts, for a screen reader like voiceover to
be able to understand a scoring application means an in depth coding, complete
application rewrite and an engine to work with voiceover to handle score
objects as a kind of dictionary so to speak.

say, as an example you wanted access to a musical score by bach, you want to
know each function of the score, from key and meter, to repeats, slurrs and so
much more. the screen reader would have to interact with a window layout and
then handle a dictionary engine for the graphics or score fonts to have a
spoken meaning, to be interacted with where applicable or to be studied. then
there is also the issue of braille output to a display. this means a little
more work creating a transition between the application's own language, the
standard music language and braille language.

This is something I have had serious issues and concerns with over many years.

At present, the only way to score blind is either using scoring software called
"goodfeel" for windows in conjunction with other software by "Dancing Dots" who
by the way used to make scripts for sibelius 3 which worked with JAWS 5.1 and
above.

from what I hear, there is a developer working on scripts for the latest
versions of sibelius. I however don't have the reference to comment on the
work, etc. this is the only way to do it.

so if you're a mac owner, your best way is either fusion or bootcamp with
windows running, JAWS and either goodfeel or sibelius.

it is worth noting however that sibelius does not support braille output,
though it does support speech based output for most functions. it is to my
understanding an evolving project.

Almost there with VM, one more item to finish

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
Hi.

I have the VM installed. I had to delete the finder preference file again,
then it installed fine. Now I am trying to installed window-eyes either
from the disk in the Superdrive or from the DMG disk image I created on my
mac in the documents folder.

Superdrive says won't install without bootcamp drivers. Don't have bootcamp
installed, can I install just the drivers.

Or is it better to just share the documents folder on my Mini and hten
access the Window-eyes DMG file?

Hopefully this will be it. Thanks.

RE: Almost there with VM, one more item to finish

2012-03-04 Thread Bill Holton
Hi.

Would love to, only I'm not sure if it's my old friend, the Finder problem,
or my own ignorance that is stopping me. I go to bootcamp assistant. Since
I do not want to have a bootcamp partition I uncheck the boxes to create a
bootcamp partition and to create a Windows install disk. I leave the
download tools and burn to disk option and then proceed. After about ten
minutes the tools have been downloaded. I then get a prompt to burn them to
my superdrive. The drive whirls up, seems to write, then I get an error:

The burn to the Superdrive failed because there was a media error. I click
through this and then it gives me an option to enter my account name and
password to get some helper tools. I do this, and I get a message, the
windows support software has been saved. Install this windows support
software after installing windows. Quit.

Press quit and I am out of bootcamp assistant. When I take the failed disk
and put it into my PC it's a perfectly good disk ready to be written to.

I think I have well established by now that my ignorance in this particular
matter is abundant. Not sure what I am doing wrong, and even if I can get
the boot camp drivers onto a disk how will I be able to access that disk
from inside Windows when Windows says I can't access that drive without the
boot camp drivers?

Again, appreciate everyone's patience.

Bill

Re: Anyone Ever Use Homespun Music for Instruction?

2012-03-04 Thread Teresa Cochran
Thanks! I did find Brown's tutorials on the NLS site, but no slck-key thus far.
I will look at the site, too.

The player that Homespun uses is called MOD Machine, and is completely
invisible to VO. I sent a nice polite inquiry off to Leaping Brains, the
designers of this player, and I will see what happens.

Thanks,
Teresa

Does anyone know if there's another way to download the files? I saw

just for playing the music lessons.

N Y Times Tech news for the week of Thursday 2/23/2012
Windows on the iPad, and Speedy

 By [7]DAVID POGUE

You're probably paying something like $60 a month for high-speed
Internet. I'm paying $5 a month, and my connection is 1,000 times
faster.

Your [8]iPad can't play Flash videos on the Web. Mine can.

Your copy of Windows needs constant updating and patching and
protection against viruses and spyware. Mine is always clean and always
up-to-date.

No, I'm not some kind of smug techno-elitist; you can have all of that,
too. All you have to do is sign up for a radical iPad service called
OnLive Desktop Plus.

It's a tiny app -- about 5 megabytes. When you open it, you see a
standard Windows 7 desktop, right there on your iPad. The full, latest
versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Adobe Reader
are set up and ready to use -- no installation, no serial numbers, no
pop-up balloons nagging you to update this or that. It may be the least
annoying version of Windows you've ever used.

That's pretty impressive -- but not as impressive as what's going on
behind the scenes. The PC that's driving your iPad Windows experience
is, in fact, a "farm" of computers at one of three data centers
thousands of miles away. Every time you tap the screen, scroll a list
or type on the on-screen keyboard, you're sending signals to those
distant computers. The screen image is blasted back to your iPad with
astonishingly little lag.

There's an insane amount of technology behind this stunt -- 10 years in
the making, according to the company's founder. (He's a veteran of
Apple's original QuickTime team and Microsoft's WebTV and Xbox teams.)
OnLive Desktop builds on the company's original business, a service
that lets gamers play high-horsepower video games on Macs or
low-powered Windows computers like netbooks.

The free version of the OnLive Desktop service arrived in January. It
gives you Word, Excel and PowerPoint, a few basic Windows apps (like
Paint, Media Player, Notepad and Calculator), and 2 gigabytes of
storage.

Plenty of apps give you stripped-down versions of Office on the iPad.
But OnLive Desktop gives you the complete Windows Office suite. In
Word, you can do fancy stuff like tracking changes and high-end
typography. In PowerPoint, you can make slide shows that the iPad
projects with all of the cross fades, zooms and animations intact.

Thanks to Microsoft's own Touch Pack add-on, all of this works with
touch-screen gestures. You can pinch and spread two fingers to zoom in
and out of your Office documents. You can use Windows' impressive
handwriting recognition to enter text (although a Bluetooth keyboard
works better). You can flick to scroll through a list.

Instead of clicking the mouse on things, you can simply tap, although a
stylus works better than a fingertip; many of the Windows controls are
too tiny for a finger to tap precisely. (On a real Windows PC, you
could open the Control Panel to enlarge the controls for touch use --
but OnLive's simulated PC is lacking the Control Panel, which is one of
its few downsides.)

OnLive Desktop is seamless and fairly amazing. And fast; on what other
PC does Word open in one second?

But the only way to get files onto and off OnLive Desktop is using a
Documents folder on the desktop. To access it, you have to visit
OnLive's Web site on your actual PC.

The news today is the new service, called OnLive Desktop Plus. It's not
free -- it costs $5 a month -- but it adds Adobe Reader, Internet
Explorer and a 1-gigabit-a-second Internet connection.

That's not a typo. And "1-gigabit Internet" means the fastest
connection you've ever used in your life -- on your iPad. It means
speeds 500 or 1,000 times as fast as what you probably get at home. It
means downloading a 20-megabyte file before your finger lifts from the
glass.

You get the same speed in both directions. You can upload a 30-megabyte
file in one second.

And remember, you're using a state-of-the-art Windows computer, so you
can play any kind of video you might encounter online. OnLive Desktop
Plus turns the iPad from a tablet that can't play Flash videos at all

Re: Finale or music editor for mac?

2012-03-04 Thread Frank Tom
If you have low vision, Sibelius is somewhat usable. My vision is not good
enough to use it effectively so I Have give up. You cannot even label buttons.
You can change the pitch of notes, so even if you cannot see the note, if
you're good enough to write music, you're probably good enough to recognize
what note is being played. The cheaper version of Sibelius is about $125, so
you may want to test drive a demo version.

Bottom line, if you can't see, you can't write music on a computer, at least
not any more.

New Version Of Imap Weather Radio Doesn't work for Canada

2012-03-04 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Hey guys. I just downloaded the new version of Imap Weather Radio for the
iPhone. Unfortunately, when I try to set it up, it asks for a US zip code and
it won't accept my Canadian postal code. I really like that app and it would be
a shame to delete it. Does anyone know the email address I could write to to
the developers about this? That really both saddens me and makes me mad that I
can't use this app anymore.

Re: Apple TV

2012-03-04 Thread Grant Hyde
Hi, What a complete post! I wanted to add that you can buy the less expensive
standard version of items in the iTunes store on your Mac than play them on
your Apple TV using home sharing or itunes Match. Grant

On Mar 4, 2012, at 1:35 PM, jason lefevers wrote:

hey Sara thanks, I:ll try and give you a brief overview of the apple TV and if
you have any specific questions about what it can and can't do let me know.

Hi Shawn and Others,

I just followed the support links on the iMap Weather Radio URL in iTunes to:
http://support.wdtinc.com/contact.html

I've never tried to get in touch with them myself, but the support page seems
pretty serious about providing response -- the comments ask you to please allow
an hour for their reps to get back to you on issues via email, and they also
provide full contact information for their support site in Oklahoma, including
a toll-free number if you're calling from out of state.

There's a template for filling out an email query on the web page. HTH.

Re: Finale or music editor for mac?

2012-03-04 Thread Kevin Gibbs
Okay, here are the facts:
1.  No version of Sibelius or finale is accessible for the blind on a
Mac.
2.  The only music notation solutions that generates print notation
using mainstream, commercial off-the-shelf software, involves using
Sibelius 5.25, which may not even be available from Sibelius any
longer, and a special set of JAWS compatible scripts called Sibelius
access. Sibelius access is available from a site in the UK called
www.musicaccess.co,uk.  The site is owned by Dan Rugman.  Rugman  has
said  that he is working on a solution for Sibelius 6. This solution
will involve using jaws and Sibelius However, Sibelius 6 is also
probably  no longer available from Sibelius anymore because Avid, the
parent company that owns Sibelius, along with Pro Tools and M-Audio,
has moved to Sibelius 7.  Don't even think about imagining a blind
friendly pro level solution for Sibelius 7 on the Mac.
