Citing a web source
Hi, This is more Bibtex-related than LyX-related, but I'd like to know if there's some "de facto" standard for citing web sources... I believe there's no "@link" or "@web" or something similar tag supported by Bibtex, so I'd like to know what's the "expected" way, if there's any. Just to be standard. Thanks for your help! Mariano
change position of sub-caption
Hi list, Is it possible to have the sub-caption (i.e. the caption of the subfigure, like (a), (b) etc.) on the right side of the image instead below it? Thanks in advance. Regards, Jeannette

Have a look at the TUG recommendations: http://www.tex.ac.uk/cgi-bin/texfaq2html?label=citeURL Regards, Juergen

Since so many seem confused by these things, forgive me for an off- topic post. It's very, very unlikely any of these things are being distributed by this list server. The recent worm/virus emails all forge their return address, using addresses randomly found on the victim's computer. So, if you get a virus "sent from" the LyX list, it's because it was a forgery. It simply means that the victim had once upon a time received mail from the list, or was Cc'd, etc., as well as mail from you. To determine the actual sender (or at least their network) you need to examine the email's Received: headers, and look up the owner of the IP address in the topmost line. Some of us have been getting hundreds of these emails a day, apparently from all over the world. But when you examine those IP numbers, it quickly becomes apparent that it's really only a relative handful of computers doing the sending. Hope that helps, Jim

ArabTeX bug is now resolved (was Re: Eureka! This is why Arabic support for lyx 1.3.2 doesn't work in my Mandrake 9.1)
Regarding this bug http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1225 I received this from Mr. Lagally, the author of ArabTex: "Up to version 3.11 ArabTeX required a blank space before any control sequence within Arabic or Hebrew input text; this, as I was informed, led to problems in context of LyX. The new version 3.11, presently at CTAN, and ftp://ftp.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/pub/arabtex/ no more has this restriction." Please check to see whether there is anything wrong. -- __/__/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _\ _/ _\_/ _/\ / _\ unzir_/ aha Telecommunications Engineer Linux Registered User [EMAIL PROTECTED]://counter.li.org CIW Designer, ICDL, MOUS. I do not know about any @url, but natbib supports url as key, so you can make it @unpublished and add url to the key. Mathematical symbols not showing up in lyx-1.3.1 under RH 9
My problem is very similar to the following problem... http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=lyx-users&m=102747712133982&w=2 except that I'm running RH9 with lyx-1.3.1-1_qt. I've tried the binary from the web site as well as the rebuilding from the source RPM. Attached is a pic of what I'm seeing. From reading the list and general intuition, I'd say it's a problem with the font server and/or font path. I'm by no means a Lyx expert, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
